Losing hair like crazy!!!
AngieAngel replied to agentcmc13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have started losing some, but I have very long hair and have always shedded a bit. -
symptoms of gall bladder issues
AngieAngel replied to innwtitdtity's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I once had an attack so bad that I handed my newborn daughter to a perfect stranger because I thought I was having a heart attack and they called an ambulance for me. -
Marijuana Use After Surgery
AngieAngel replied to KBates's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried it when I was very young, but then I grew up. The 'medicinal' effects benefit those who are too ill to eat, not those of us who are fooling ourselves that it is healthy to smoke weed. Again, it is illegal. Why put your jobs and health in jeopardy? -
wondering if anyone else has this problem
AngieAngel replied to MADE IT 2 MY GOAL..OH YEAH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sugar melts very quickly and goes right through the band. I still get stuck on occasion on 'regular food' and today was one of them. It was on refried beans with melted cheese, go figure! -
Marijuana Use After Surgery
AngieAngel replied to KBates's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've seen people get chastised on this board more for eating a cheeseburger! It is never ok to do drugs, banded or not, knock it off. -

Wait it out, the scale will move again. It just takes time and waiting sucks! :sneaky: -
How are the banded Notorious Novembers???
AngieAngel replied to mljalways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am not sure I can predict anymore when I will PB. Sometimes I can say, "Yup, I ate too fast". Other times I 'should' have been able to eat, such as afternoon time and hadn't had any trouble prior with that particular food or time of day. It is weird and makes every meal an adventure. I appreciate the weightloss but am still a bit nervous about eating in public because of it. -
I have had several surgeries in my life and don't remember having the tube placed or removed. Also, I have never had a sore throat. No worries!

How are the banded Notorious Novembers???
AngieAngel replied to mljalways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have days with no issues and then I will have days where I have a cup of milk for early morning breakfast and then PB. Weird! -

AngieAngel replied to ebar822's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4 months out and still gurgling..in fact my hubby asked if I was ok last night. Be prepared to gurgly and burpy. Luckily, I have trouble acting like a lady most of the time, so it all fits right in. haha -
Anyone else NOT have Bandster hell?
AngieAngel replied to crc38's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not suffer through bandster hell at all. -
another fill- now no restriction
AngieAngel replied to ENDOMGR's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Saline inserted properly into your band does not disappear. It can leak out though if the band is damaged. -
Need Reasurrance/Clarification PLEASE
AngieAngel replied to Michele123's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Best of luck to you. I understand your concerns, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it will be to control the amount of food you are able to eat. I was a volume eater and the band cooled those jets pretty well! -
How Much Chili W/Proper Restriction
AngieAngel replied to Makulafamy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor told me that as long as I am losing weight he is not concerned with measuring my food. He states that he has heard some folks on 1/4 cup and 1/2 cup limits and that they are ridiculous. Just take it slow and you will re-learn what your limits are. -
What a bitter pill...
AngieAngel replied to rathsog's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on Effexor XR and it is a large capsule, I just swallow it with no problems. I take a very large vitamin pill, but just split that. I would stop crushing and just split them.:D -

How are the banded Notorious Novembers???
AngieAngel replied to mljalways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can eat them fine, just very slowly. I did PB on them once but it was because I ate too fast. -
Why did I just throw up saltines?
AngieAngel replied to Just Banded's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I pb'ed the other morning because I drank some milk too fast. It is different everyday. -

AngieAngel replied to misslonglegs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My first fill was 4cc and they had to take 1cc back out because I couldn't swallow water. -
chewable multi vitamin advice
AngieAngel replied to Dee66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a huge Costco fan, so I have a giant bottle of Kirkland brand vitamins and I split them up before taking them. -
It was several weeks before I got my 'get up and go' back. Also, I lost my gallbladder many years ago and at the time of the attacks I thought I was having a heartattack. The pain was immense and was mostly in the center of my back. In fact, I was taken to the hospital by ambulance twice during these attacks before they figured it out. Hopefully, this is not what you are experiencing.

Hi! I just got my second fill yesterday. I am doing really well but have hit a plateau recently.

weight watchers on the band?
AngieAngel replied to Lshelley21's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
WW is a wonderful program. If nothing else it will educate you on portion sizes and strategies for handling hunger. -
Anesthesia- Dry heaving or puking?
AngieAngel replied to wuan2000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was so dizzy/nauseous from the anesthesia I probably could have stayed another day. The actual incisions were nothing compared to recovering from anesthesia. If I could go back I would have asked for a prescription of Phenergan (suppository). It definitely helps with nausea and you don't have to eat it (uh, you know ) -
Post LapBand Constipation problem
AngieAngel replied to scanlon21's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Be careful with dried prunes/apricots. I had a TERRIBLE sliming episode with apricots that left me sore for three days (stomach).
