I went to TJ Mexico.. I didn't have any troubles.... I got banded... Good tot see u had a good exp...

Yes it did hurt..... When I woke up I felt like I had been hit by a truck.... But I had a smile on my face... Kinda like after you have a baby.... I knew that this was a good pain. I knew that this was a gonna get skinny pain. I am at post op day 5 and have to say that I am Soooooooo much better. My stitches are starting to itch... so let the healing BEGAN.... :thumbup:

Hello, I just got back from TJ mexico. I couldn't have been happier. My cost was 6500.00 plus air fare. My Doc was Dr. Francisco M. Contreras Guarista. Everythting was wonderful. My husband, daughter and myself flew into San Deigo. The driver was waiting for use. We got over the boarder in no time. (Like Minutes) Dr Contreras was waiting for us at the Hospital. He went to the admissions desk got all my paper work ready. We then went ttot my room then had test done. The Doctor was with me almost the whole time. After surgery he came to my room twice that night. The morning he personally in his car drove us to the hotel. WOW.... what a hotel. It was nice. He then came back that night to check on me. The next morning he came back again checked me out... temp, bP and any questiios I had. This was evertime I saw him. The day I was to leave he walked us to our driver. Kissed me on the cheek and said I would be hearing from him. All I have to say about the Whole mexico thing is WOW...... all that worry for nothing.

We are Band buddies... I was banded on the 12th also.....

PJ, U can eat Pasta? My paper work says that alot of people can't eat pasta...... Nice to see that U can....

I was banded on the 12th. I hae been using Gas strips since day one. The only time I have had gas is when I forget to take one.... They ARE WONDERFUL..... hope this helps

Hello all, I am needing to pinch myself every once in a while. I am still in shock that I am really going to be doing this. I have looked into WLS for 8 years now. I was first looking at GB. Way before I had even heard of LB. I have a friend that had LB 3 years ago. SHe was really big. Now everytime I see her she has a smile on her face. I know how she feels. I don't even know that I am smiling and someone will say what so funny or why the smile...... I know that this is going to be life changing. I am already starting to exercise. We bought a Wii for he kids and I am using it. Ii have to say that it has been fun. We also bought the wii fit for me and that is fun also. It's not like exercise. It is really fun..... Just thought I would share....... Hugs T:biggrin:

August banding Here... I can't believe it is coming soooooooo soon...... I have to yell whhhooo every once in a while. I almost feel like a kid in a candy store. :cursing:

I am getting banded in 10 days. Your story is what my biggest fear is. I know that I will have to work on this. I have research WLS for 8 years now. Starting with Bypass, even before Lapband was on the market. But... I know what I need to do....It is will I do it? Can I sttop eating when the band says stop? That is my fear.... I have BCBS insurance as well. I have found out that after talking with them and starting the process that it would just be easier to pay out of pocket. My aunt went through the hoops and it took her 2 years to get the surgery... Hope this helps...
