    Oh yeah!!! It's a done deal? :)

Well after i seen the doc yesterday he said eat some soups but no chunks. i at malt o meal for breakfast and some soup for lunch amd dinner. i felt a thousand times better today then yesterday. What ever caused it seems to have gone away for now. Hopefully forever.
  2. I got up this morning and was able to take a shower. I was feeling a little nausea getting out of the shower. My wife made me some Malt O Meal. I was able to eat some of that and then for lunch I ate some soup that was blended up. So far I feel better then yesterday. Maybe I will just get better from here on out. I guess it's part of the process.
  3. Judy when you went to your post op appointment was it given at the same time with a man and his wife and little girl. If it was that was me. I thought I may have heard you yesterday when you were at the hospital. I hope all is welll for you.
  4. I am doing pretty good besides having nausea and then dry heaving. It does not feel good at all. I went to my follow up today and the doc said all looks good. Tomorrow I can eat soup as long as it is blended with no chunks. I hope this helps with the nausea.

The only issue I seem to be having now is every now and then I get nausea and then dry heave. It does not feel good at all. I went to my follow up to day and they said everthing looks good. I can eat soups tomorrow as long as they are blended with no chunks. I hope this helps with the nausea.
  6. It's funny I found this post that was from a ways back. I never went through with the surgery then but I am now scheduled in 3 days November 4th for surgery in Alb. NM. I am so ready for this i can't wait.
  7. Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and have a surgery date of November 4th. I have been on a so called liquid diet since Friday the 22nd that consists of a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch and then 1 serving of progresso Soup for dinner. I have actually been very content with what I have eaten. Why is it that I can't do this when I was not facing surgery? I had a talk with my wife about the idea that if some people have ever had a total mind change and did not have surgery and were able to change the way they think of food and were able to make a complete life change. The only thing is that I can come up with is that I see what the prize is at the end of the tunnel and know that messing up is no option. I would like to think that if I didn't have surgery that I could change my way of eating but I guess slip up's would be a lot more forgiving so there would be no consequence. Has everyone ever thought the same during the pre-op diet? It has been one of the easiest things I have ever done. Well that's a enough rambling from me. I am just thinking out loud.

Hello Everyone. I hate mind games.

Well I know that keeping up with the same eating pattern of soup would not work. Mentally I just think if you can feal content with that little bit of food you could have 3 small meals a day and be fine. I do get what everyone say's and of course I am going through with the surgery. I remember going through weight watchers and thinking this is so easy and lost around 50 lbs. Then somehow I just stop doing it and never was able to do it again. Of course I gained the weight back and then some. That's why I think it's all in my mind but I do see how the lapband is a life long tool to help you in the quest of losing weight. I am looking forward to November 4th.
  9. Hello everyone my name is Robert. I am having surgery by Dr. Smith on November 4th. It's great to hear that you all have had good experience with Dr. Adam Smith.
  10. Thanks everyone for the good advice. I have read many times in these forums that some people will eat and have a blockage. Does this feel like you are choking or just that nothing is going down. Thanks Robert
  11. I think what scares me the most is that I'm going to want to eat the same way that I do now but know that I can't. By making the pouch smaller than your stomach does it tell your brain that you are not as hungry? Thanks Robert
