I feel for you I have a hiatal hernia and the regurgitation is crazy. I also have Barrettes esophagus so I worry about the acid causing me to pop positive for cancer. I really cannot wait for this surgery for a few different ways also. I am with you . Try to stay strong I am trying also just because we have no other choice. When I’m really frustrated I yell at the tv when the governor is on. It doesn’t solve anything but sometimes it feels good to get it out of your system. Lol hang in there with luck maybe not to much longer 🍀

Good luck I hope it all works out. Our governor in NJ just extended the state of emergency lock down by another 30 days. I really would like him to stick his data determines dates where the sun don’t shine. I mean I don’t mind staying home but I really would like him to lift elective surgery. Hey Jersey I am in Monmouth county. What county are you in? My last date was supposed to be May 30th and they pulled it less then two weeks after giving it to me. I hope the governor opens up the operating room for elective surgery soon. If he does I’m hoping they will put me in sooner. Every time I get close it’s like that movie Groundhog Day and they call me and cancel n rescheduled this time is like starting all over again. My new date is 65 days away again. Very frustrating. I hope for your sake they keep your date. Best of luck!

Well if you listen to the Governor talk numbers it looks horrible but for me I have to admit I was blessed so far. My life hasn’t changed to much. I still work and although I am out of work at my second job and my third job is a summer and that’s probably not happening because it has to do with summer concerts and that should have been starting this month. So as yes I am losing money but at least I still have my primary job. And I definitely should know better I was an EMT and Firefighter so I know things aren’t always as they seem. I think I’m just stressed out. And disappointed ☹️

Well they canceled my surgery again! My new date for the third time is July 7th. I feel sooo deflated and disappointed and I feel like I just keep getting the rug pulled out from under me. I am really tired of this I am tired of being on lock down . I was at my local hospital to day for a upper GI and it was quite and dead. I feel like maybe we are being lied to and it’s not as bad as they say. I don’t know I guess I’m just tired of this . I’m ready for freedom this whole process should have been three months n now it’s going to be nine months. Very disappointing it feels like it’s never going to happen

Lucky you. Must be nice! Unfortunately for all of us we are in the middle of areas that have a Major out break. May be I took your post the wrong way Sabs211 but it’s coming off like you are bragging about it. I know I maybe a bit touchy right now but it kinda feels that way. But good for you!

What state are you having your surgery in? I’m just curious.

I hear you and feel you pain and frustration! My surgery should have be in a few weeks on May 12. My pre admission testing should have been next Wednesday and I’m sure it’s not happening anymore because I’m in New Jersey. I said I wasn’t going to get anymore cortisone injections for my hip but since my surgery isn’t happening anytime soon I managed to get my orthopedist to get me an injection last week for the pain so hopefully now that was the last because I’m hoping the weight loss will help instead of injections. So trust me all oh us feel your pain and disappointment and are here for you if you want to vent! Remember this to will end! Hopefully sooner rather than later! 🌞

Hang it there. Trust me and everyone else if you had started like us last year you would be even more disappointed then you are now because we have all had our surgery date come within reach and then taken away because of this pandemic. But try to think positive at least it’s not no it’s just not now and at least we are all alive. I am not a very positive person most of the time but I’m trying! I exercise and try not to fall to far off the healthy eating because when this is all over I don’t want to have to wait one second more then I have to.

It’s time. We all feel your pain. We are all here for you to vent if you need. I know I have. But like people said to me it’s not No it’s just not Now and as much as we really don’t want to hear it we are safer and better off waiting a few months. We All Will Get There it is All Our Time To Shine 🌞

droose I am glad you said that because I have been quite with people I know because I felt like it was very disappointing for me but I felt like I would be judged as selfish for feeling disappointed. Normal people that don’t have issues like we do just don’t understand. I work with someone that struggles with about 40 lbs but thinks that this surgery is the easy way out and really believes that theory that I should just try harder n exercise more. So it’s impossible to talk to her. So I just keep quiet and it’s like disappointment is just trying to eat you alive. It’s very frustrating. I really cannot wait for life to go back to the normal.

Very true! I just had the perfect time line n it was a tight one. Now I have two jobs n in June I would have three and I really needed to get the weight off because the third one is on my feet for like six hours and I am having trouble standing on my hips n knees. My one hip is incredibly bad. I am getting another cortisone shot in it on Saturday. I just really need my third job to survive and now with this epidemic I’m down to one job. I am just not in a great place and this being canceled is very disappointing but your right hopefully it will happen soon. :(

I just was watching tv and the News announcement said that all elective surgery is canceled as of 5pm tonight. I’m devastated. I got my date three weeks ago for May 12, 2020 and now is canceled. I feel so deflated. 😢

I had a May 12, 2020 surgery date and now I just saw the news and they ordered all elective surgery canceled as of 5pm today in New Jersey. I am so disappointed. My life is like Alains Morissette’s song Ironic .

Good day everyone! I am preparing for surgery sometime in May. I was wondering how people have hid there bat wing arms after loosing weight. Do you all have anything like compression shirts or anything and who sells them I may need them and it’s probably going to be the one thing that stresses me out. Any and all info would be appreciated!
