Well just came from seeing the surgeon on my pro op visit and all is still a go he was fine with my 10 pound gain n said we are still going for July 7. Yeah I’m very excited and really nervous all at the same time. This kinda feels like my first time going to Universal Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights ya know scary n exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. Lol

I used to live right over the bridge from your town OMG who is your doctor? We may have the same one. Dr Borao is mine.

Did you have Barrett’s before you had the sleeve done? Because I have a very small area with it but they are doing the sleeve on me anyway? I want the sleeve but have wondered if it’s should have been bypass.

I am going to do shakes today and I have work and I figure I’ll do some laps around the desks today and I’ll be there alone so at least I won’t look crazy and then another walk with my daughter in the evening. I just don’t think I will loose much overnight. But my insurance already approved so I’m hoping he will be fine. He’s not a mean dr so it is what it is right.

Surgeon’s office called n rescheduled my pro op visit so now it’s a week sooner and this Wednesday and I’m nervous because I gained 10 pounds and am hoping he doesn’t cancel me. I’m a bit freaked out. I herniated six discs in the middle of my back and I spent 3 weeks sleeping upright in a chair because I could not lay down with out being in pain radiating around my ribs. So I could not exercise and am only no feeling better. Hopefully he is ok with this. Wish me luck!

I listened to the Bariatric pal pod cast and they said it was because you shrink your liver on the two week diet before surgery and it’s around the three week mark that your liver starts to return back to its normal size . It said it doesn’t me u are not losing it just isn’t showing on the scale.

I just ordered condiment cups w lids from target to prepare the jello n other quick grabs for protein. People have been saying they are helpful. Bought a few different protein waters unflavored protein powder

Did they really do an open procedure for that? I know I have a hernia and mine moves up n down supposedly because we had extra time to burn from pandemic so my surgeon had me do an upper Gi study and we watched mine move up n down. Totally like me to have something difficult n unusual. I am a little scared of an open procedure. Oh who am I kidding it scares the flipping hell out of me. I’m all my daughter has if I die she has no one . I wasn’t nervous until I saw that on my paperwork. I’m a bit freaked out. I’m trying not to completely lose my head until I see the surgeon on the 24th . This is going to be a really long two weeks. 🤞

I went to my pre admission testing on Tuesday and I was waiting for them to call me in the waiting room and I was reading the forms they handed me at check in and it had listed the VSG and then the hernia repair n then it said and possible open procedure . I almost had a full blown panic attack. I am hoping that is just in case not something they think is going to happen. My visit with the surgeon isn’t until the 24th so I have to wait until then to ask. Has anyone else seen that listed on there paper work at PAT?
