What brand of fake ground beef do you use ? I bought the morning star triller bits but it has a very harsh nasty taste and you can’t even hide it I tried sloppy joes (before surgery) and i wasn’t able to eat because of the taste.

What do you have to inject in your stomach if you don’t mind me asking.

Question for everyone that has had there surgery. Do any of you have numbness in the center of your stomach. I have a line in the center of my abdomen that is about four inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide that is like numb it feels like you know when you get dental work done and they numb you and that feeling in your check that’s what it feels like. Does anyone else have this or am I strange.

Yes! I had my surgery on the 7th and my body still hurts just not as bad. My internal stitch’s are still pulling and burning and causing me a lot of pain still but my shoulders n neck and body ach has gone mostly. I still get exhausted very easy. Showers feel so exhausting that when I’m done I have to rest for at least an hr because I am whipped out. Be ware of sneezing I have done it twice n cried from the pain and laughing also I started to laugh n it ended by crying in pain. Hope you feel better sooner then me! 🙂

Hello everyone hope everyone is doing good especially all us post ops. Listen I had something that just hit the spot today n I thought I would share because I have been struggling a bit I cannot seem to get enough protein n fluid in it’s like there isn’t enough time in the day. But I had to drop my child off at work today and there was a Dunkin Donuts on the other side of the highway so I stopped in the drive threw and got a small iced decaf with sugar free vanilla flavor shot in it. I took it home and added 4 oz of fair life vanilla protein and a half packet of trivia. Oh my gosh it was fantastic. It took me like an hr to drink but it was amazing. Just thought I would share. Talk to you all latter!🙂

Talk to your surgeon they can still choose to do the surgery with or without your PCP release.

Thank you! I am sorry to hear your doing poor also. If you are lactose try vegan cheese they come in all different kinds and most are tasty. I don’t know if you have a Wegmans grocery store by you but they normally have a great variety if not look for a health food store. Good luck!

New Jersey. I have had my gallbladder removed and I had block bile ducts and was bright yellow. It was same day surgery and I was fully active right after. No pain. I don’t know maybe it’s my age I am 47. I don’t bounce back like I used to. I called surgeon and waiting for a call back. Thank you

Hello all! I had VSG and a hiatal hernia on July 7 at 7:30. I have not had a great experience. I came out of surgery and couldn’t walk let alone had trouble standing on my right hip (which is bad already) I walked into the hospital no pain in my hip that morning. So I think that it was from transferring me from bed to or table n back to bed. So I think they gave me something to knock me out on my way to or because I remember about a minute of the journey n then nothing until recovery and then they brought me to my room a few minutes latter. Once settled in my room I wanted to sit in the chair and when I tried to walk on my leg it gave out. I did not fall but almost. The pain has been way way way more then I thought. I have a very high pain tolerance and this has knocked me on my but. When I lay down in bed (which is extremely painful to even get in) I can only stay there for like three hrs n when I wake up the one spot on my stomach that is bad is burning and in so much pain. That spot the brushes are now yellow n look better and it’s not on fire anymore but it is still warm. When I stand there is pulling and burning and pain and you can feel a sm ball size bump under it. I am going to call surgeon but I’m afraid there is something wrong and I don’t want to have to go back into surgery and have more pain all over. I regret this sooooo much. I really wish I had not done this.😢 has anyone else had any of these also. Not the hip that is back to normal it took five days but that as go as will be.

I had VSG and Hiatal hernia on July 7th and at 7:30am and stayed one night in hospital. Some how in surgery or transferring they messed up my hip I could barely stand on it the first day. Now it’s starting to go back to its normal bad hip self. I have been in a crazy amount of pain. One of the cuts is really inflamed and it burns when I move. I can’t bend at all. I am drinking fine but I bought an unflavored protein powder and they lied it has a very gross taste to it. What kind of unflavored protein powder are all you guys that had surgery already using

So has anyone that has surgery tomorrow felt sick from having to drink the Magnesium Citrate for the bowel prep. This stuff is so sweet and thick n lemony I have been fighting throwing up for hours. I just don’t understand why we have to do this. This two week diet feels like some cruel punishment for being fat. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 Am and I feel like sh t and I have a crazy headache and I am tired of being tortured 😩and I’m freakin out a bit.

So today was supposed to be my last scheduled day at work but I decided to go in for half day tomorrow so I could get a few last minute stuff that I still have to do so I don’t leave any of my job duties on my co worker. Well I realized when I was saying I was coming in to my boss that I only have 5 days until my surgery. Wow now it seems to be flying. I feel like I went from saying that this two week diet was never going to end to oh my gosh it’s almost over and it’s surgery time. I’m getting nervous and excited all at the same time and a little afraid of failing also. Like what if it doesn’t work? Oh my I guess I need to stop stressing. Good night all!

I agree the second day I slept for 12 hrs that night and had to force myself out of bed. I haven’t done that since my early 20’s. Lol . But I am on day 9 and I feel pretty good. I still have hunger and head hunger but other then that I am good. Hopefully you feel better soon you got this !

I hear you. I also have gerd and they did find I have a Hiatal hernia that moves up and down in my chest so they need to fix it also and I asked my surgeon the same thing and he said I should be fine. I think that I will just go with it and see. Worst case I have to go for bypass surgery. I choose to think positive about this one. Only time will tell . 🤞

Well I was getting ready to go to work and I hoped on the scale and I am down 10 pound in six days. Wow cool but a very sucky way of loosing it lol. Today is my seventh day on pre op diet and I still have another week to go I wonder how much I will lose. So how is everyone else doing on there pre op diets?

Awesome surgery buddies. There is a few of us that are July 6 or 7. The pre op is torture.

Today is day six of the two week pre op diet and I a have to tell you I don’t think I have ever gone this long with out Peanut Butter! I am craving it so bad. Ice pops are definitely not peanut butter. I think if I see one more tv commercial about Reese’s peanut butter cups I may come unglued. I am waiting 15 minutes for my show to record a little bit so I can fast forward the commercials and then I will be in happy land for a little bit watching YELLOWSTONE. I loooove this show. I am Team Rip all the way! Lol. 8 more days to go. Hopefully they go fast! Hopefully everyone is doing good and managing there diets. Stay safe all! Good night!

I am on day three of liquid diet! This Sucks! The up side I already lost three pounds. Down side is I am craving all kinds of food. I am hungry all the time. This sucks and I have a toothache and I already had a emergency root canal on a tooth above it on Saturday and now I wonder if I did the wrong tooth or was it two. But I don’t want to go back to dentist and possibly screw up my surgery date of July 7. Why can’t things be easy sometimes.
