Calories per day at 6+ months post op
IWantTheDream replied to ASampson's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I personally range from 800-1000 cal each day. But honestly I don’t know if I’m doing to many or not enough. I only lose an average of one pound each week now at six months out. I’m very slow looser and it’s very stressful and discouraging. Hopefully you are doing much better then I . 🙂 -

OMG let me tell you this dish was life changing for me and so simple and it’s all thanks to Tabatha Brown on YouTube. I am a very bad cook buttt omg this was I think the most delicious meal I have ever made myself lol. If anyone else want to know how to cook vegan go to YouTube and search Tabatha Brown. I think she should have her own cooking show. I am in love with her taco Tuesday in the airfrier . This measures at 4oz and I did finish but I felt sick I was so full but damn it was delicious. It has chickpea Green, red, yellow, orange peppers Purple onion Mushrooms And Taco seasoning Garlic Turmeric (just a pinch for anti inflammatory) Paprika Everything but the bagels Pink Himalayan salt. And in my bowl I pit a few slices of avocado and feta cheese crumbles n fresh spinach. I did put a few other seasoning then she did but omg it’s delicious I can’t wait to eat again I may have to have some tomorrow for breakfast. -

First off I hope you don’t have COVID and that you feel better soon so take care of you please. Second I feel you with the roller coaster weight loss . I am 8 pounds away from onederland and it feels like I will never get there. Try not to stress I know it’s not easy trust me I beat myself up for not loosing weight some what quickly but I figure as long as it is coming off n not going on I will try not to flip out much because stress is bad for weight loss. Lol keep doing what your doing and maybe your body needs a few days off n you will be better for it you never know. We are here to listen if you need us 🙂❤️ -
I have BCBS and am in Jersey and I have to do psych, endoscopy, ultrasound & primary dr referral and insurance requirements were three months nutrition visits (1a month) then it was approved in a few days. I did get postponed due to COVID for two month but as soon as they opened up elective surgery I had it in about three weeks later. Very easy with BCBS.

July 2020 Surgery anyone?
IWantTheDream replied to IWantTheDream's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How often do you see the dietitian? Believe it or not I have not seen a dietitian since March. After that Covid hit and then I finally got my third surgery date for July 7 and I still have never seen a dietitian but I have seen my surgeon three times. I think everyone in my center got the short end of the stick because after COVID hit the dietitian up and re thought her life and decided to quit and they found someone else just for her to leave a month later and I don’t think they have anyone else yet. It’s very frustrating cause there really isn’t anyone to ask questions to. -
July 2020 Surgery anyone?
IWantTheDream replied to IWantTheDream's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hear ya! I also am only 65 LB total loss. I feel like I’m loosing so much slower then every one else. I did get off my BP med last month but I was only on a half pill a day. I did have blood work done only because I have been having really bad Charlie horses I wake up every morning at 4:45 am with then it’s crazy but all my levels are good so who knows why I’m getting them. I also am loosing my hair like crazy now. I have to unclog the drain catcher after every shower. I feel like at this rate I will be bold by Christmas. My hair was thin to begin with. I envy everyone who is like oh I lost 10 lbs this week because I hardly loose anything and have more stall weeks then anything. I fear that my weight is not going to come all the way off and I will have gone through all of this for nothing and be totally disappointed because everyone else seems to post that they lost like 100lb by six months. And after six months it’s supposed to be harder to loose. I don’t know. My doctor has given me weight ranges I should be at every visit and I have not made one . So I am right there with you. Not all of us are feeling like we are doing great. But we are all in this for better or worse till the end. Just know you are not alone! -

July 2020 Surgery anyone?
IWantTheDream replied to IWantTheDream's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello all! Question around how many calories is everyone consuming a day now ? I have trying to figure out if I’m consuming to many or to little because I have been stalled for three weeks and I am very frustrated. I just don’t understand and my Bariatric center has no nutritionist because the one we had up and retired because she re thought her life because of COVID-19. We then got someone else n she got a better job offer closer to her home with better hours so now we don’t have one again. The last time I saw a nutritionist was in April. I have the paperwork they give you but it’s very little it’s just mostly pre op and i5 said after you should be consuming 700- 1100 cal a day . I exercise twice a day 25 minutes walking in morning and 30 min on stationary bike after work at night. Thank you in advanced for your help! -
July 2020 Surgery anyone?

Well everyone I have to tell someone my Non scale victory’s I have had a few this week which helps because I have been stalling again for the past two weeks. So I came across a bag of black jeans that had been bought for my daughter about four years ago ( my daughter hates jeans crazy I know) well they had the tags on and everything. So they are a size 16 and I have never fit into a size 16 in my adult life. To be honest I believe the last time I saw a 16 it was probably when I was 11 years old. Well they fit and they are even a bit baggy and no way tight. I am ecstatic. I also just got taken off my blood pressure medication. Wow I have been on that for fifteen years. Last I was working a part time job today at a hair salon as an assistant and I literally was on my feet working for five hours before my back and hips started to hurt. I have spinal damage and I need two new hips I get cortisone injections in both but today I was feeling wonderful. I have not been at the salon since COVID-19 started. At that time I would have to pop a percent with in 2/12 hrs. Today no pain pill needed. I did take a few Tylenol. This was very exciting for me. Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying the non scale victory’s . -
You could try taking Aloe every day it’s supposed to prevent you from getting constipation. They make it in a liquid, or pills . Check in to it.

I had someone tell me about this so I tried it. You take yogurt and a ranch seasoning packet and make a dip out of it instead of using sour cream. Well OMG this was great! Tastes as good as regular dip and you only put as much of the seasoning to taste as you like . Went fantastic with broccoli. And no guilt even better. -

Where to start
IWantTheDream replied to mariangel174@yahoo.com's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can do the shakes for less if you belong to like a BJs or COSCO or Sam club. Or you can make your own worst case you can buy yogurt n put in a blender with some water or Fairlife milk. But you will be fine because all the money you would be spending on food at a grocery store on stuff for you to eat you will now have to use on your shakes n other stuff you need. I am on a budget and I spend less now then I did before surgery. I am only three months out. I have a Fairlife nutrition vanilla shake mixed into my three shots of espresso with 1 tbsp torani sf vanilla for breakfast every morning and lunch is like 3 oz of something n dinner is same . You eat so little after surgery that you will still have spent less then before even after the cost of the shakes. Trust the process it can be very overwhelming but you will thank yourself when it’s done . You are worth this. Oh check the local dollar tree they have premier protein shakes in Carmel and apple cinnamon oats now at $1 each. They are like $ 19.00 at bjs for 12. You could see if your store has them before they sell out. -

Youcan also try this product that the hairdressers use it’s called it’s a 10. It’s a leave in conditioner. It is pretty impressive. Good luck -
Pop for the $7.00 frothier at target it blends this collagen amazingly in two second.
-
Sorry auto correct again. Collagen peptides. I us this one I get from Target. Marine Collagen is best or Second best is Bovine. I do the bovine it’s like $25.00 at Target and you get 23 servings with that. The marine one is almost $40. My budget is tight right now lol.

Add biotin and go get some cologne powder . I mix the unflavored powder into my coffee every morning and my hair is not falling out much and my skin and joints are feeling pretty good. It helps. I have been on it for about a month and it’s crazy how much my skin n hair have gotten so much better.
