Hi! I was banded in Portsmouth on july 29, and like you had almost NO gas! after some of the posts i've read, makes me realize how lucky we are! good luck on your journey. trish

not eating, eating! eating as in protein drinks! I think i was washing it out too quickly.

Hi! I was banded on Tuesday, and today is the first day that i don't have what i would describe as 'explosive diarrhea! Also, Im being more aware of the waiting time before and after eating for my liquids. i think i was rushing it a bit. good luck!

Hi ladies, I was banded on tuesday, and know what you're going through! i feel constantly hungry. today is a bit better cause i'm being extra cautious about not drinking until 1 hour after my 'meals'. i was told to wait 1/2 hour, but this left my ravenous! I had burning at several of my incisions, but today that is gone! I haven't slept in a bed yet..but on a chaise type chair that keeps me upright. I really thought this would be a lot easier than it is! Pre op dieting was easier and i'm getting discouraged today.

I'm being banded on July 29 and will be returning home alone. What should I have in the house to help me along for a few days till I can get out again?

i can't wait! tueday is my band day and i'm so excited! and thanks to all these excellent replies, i feel i have everything i need at the house and do have friends who will check in with me daily! wish me luck! trish

thank you all so much for sharing your experiences with me. i'm going to buy a heating pad, since I don't have one, and make sure to have gas x in the house! other than that, it sounds ok to me. I will have a friend bringing me home from the hospital so we can fill prescriptions on the way. it's good to know that others have managed without help. i'm at least coming home to my house rather than a motel, so that will be comforting.

I have a question.....i'll be alone after my surgery. What should i havew in the house to make it easier?
