  1. My weight before surgery was 343 and Tuesday I weighed at 314 so a total of 29lbs gone since Dec 16th.. I’m at a weight loss stall for about a week and half now but still staying focused on my goal. My post op dr moved me to soft foods Jan 7th.. a week early because of my good progress.. so yesterday was my last day and I’m on regular diet now my issues are getting enough protein in... water was an issue but I switched to propel water and doing a lot better

@fatboyslim, I wasn’t really mentally prepared for surgery, I was diagnosed with cancer and my oncologist suggested it, I jumped through all the 4month hoops to get it and it’s not that I want to eat that it’s that I have no idea what to eat I haven’t had a big support system as far as my drs are concerned, I met my oncologist June 3rd and haven’t seen him since and won’t see him till feb I went to google to figure out what to eat and act got some ideas from this as my dr still has yet to answer my call about diet and didn’t bother coming at discharge from the hospital because he made a mistake not checking my heart and I had heart issues there Hence I asked for suggestions.

It is perfectly normal to be feeling this way, it’s a lifestyle change not just surgery, but I guarantee you that you will feel soo much better once you are able to start going back to normal food in moderations. You have to remind yourself, you are in control of your body and what you put in it, yes it’s gonna be a struggle to get back to a new normal lifestyle for yourself but it’s going to be worth it to feel that much better about yourself, it’s a temporary sacrifice for a new wonderful life! I had surgery Dec 18th at 10pm so basically on the 19th, I have struggled it hasn’t been a walk in the park but I was at 343 the day after surgery and now I’m at 325 in 9 days.. almost 20lbs. I had to have surgery due to my cancer, my oncologist won’t do my hysterectomy till I lose 80lbs but even through the hard time getting to my goal I have no regrets doing it, don’t think about the negative or scared of the what if’s, because the fact of the matter is there is more positives than negatives and there is more to be scared of not doing it and having other health issues because of the weight than to do it.. I’m here if you need to talk and good luck stay positive

So it’s been hard for me not to eat too fast but I decided to start eating Greek yogurt, peanut butter and mashed potatoes.. I get a little discomfort but I thibk it has to do with eating fast not so much that I am not ready. What has been hard is getting my water and protein in... today was my best day so far, I had about 8oz of water and maybe 32grams of protein I’m still scared of masturbaton but I’m gonna try maybe in a few more days I’ll update.. babe wanted to today but told me we should wait still he’s worried I’ll tense up when I’m about to orgasm and pop a stitch or something lol tmi but that’s my update Any feedback or suggestions to any of this post is appreciated

    Diets everyone?

It’s just a lot for me to handle tbh, I had to have the surgery so I can lose weight for my hysterectomy due to my cancer and I feel like I have no control of anything I’m really hungry now and all I want is some kind of food I tried baby food today but it made me completely nauseated and sick but I didn’t put into consideration that it’s not sugar free I guess that’s my mess up I’m so at a loss of what I should and shouldn’t be eating and my drs are no help

    Surgery Day!!

I am hungry too I had surgery like 9pm dec 18th so close to you I’m not super hungry but I do get there, I had excruciating pain when I woke up and for the first 6hrs then it subsided little by little I got a abdominal band to help keep everything in place and it’s heaven sent as far as walking I did 2 laps then 4 laps then 6 laps, 6 was a bit much but I’m ambitious so I pushed after lap 5... I’m having pain so no more for today they said 3 laps a day is what u should do

Get an abdominal band it helps keep everything firm and in place and helps with a lot of the pain

    Weight Loss Post-op

I just had my surgery yesterday dec 18th but late like 8pm I guess I get purées for Christmas too? 😌 idk much about it all but in response to your post I feel that all scales are different and show different weight, if you get a smart scale and just have it record your weight u will be able to see the weight loss and that is the main focus don’t be discouraged if your clothes are fitting lose and you are feeling better focus on that. Congrats and Happy Holidays!
