Hi everyone. I just introduced myself the other day, but I wanted to share that the scheduler called this morning and told me I'm scheduled for June 26! I'm petrified and excited all at once.
I went for my upper GI (BTW, ew! That was NOT fun) and gallbladder ultrasound this morning, so the only thing I have left to do is go to my preop on 6/23!
Looking forward to being a June bandster!

Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking for months now, but now that I actually have insurance approval, I thought I'd say hello. I've done all the hooping jumping necessary, and now all I have left is my upper GI/gallbladder ultrasound on Friday before they schedule me for my band. I must admit that I'm getting very nervous as it gets closer to the date. I really hope I'm making the right decision. Dr. Steinberg in Atlanta will be performing my surgery, and I really have the utmost confidence in him and his staff. It's still a HUGE step though.
I really look forward to getting to know you all, and I am sure I'll be coming here for lots of support. I'm one of those folks who hasn't told many people about the surgery. I've only told 2 friends aside from my husband, so I'll be coming here for lots of hand holding.

Upper GI ?
in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Hello everyone!
I had my upper GI today... It's been about 5 or 6 hours since I've had it and I'm starting to feel a bit blech in the stomach. Did anyone else feel this way? I've been drinking Water nonstop like they told me to because basically I want this crud out of my system.
Is it normal to feel sick afterwards? They didn't mention this to me.
Thanks, y'all!
