awwww im so sorry to hear that you are not going to be banded any more. What happened...? Has it happened before? I hope that you are feeling better after being so unwell. Of course i would still love to keep it touch with you...i have made a great friend in you, and would still love to support you whether you are being banded or not. We are all on a weight loss journey, no matter which path we choose to follow.

Hey Hun! Thanks for dropping by my page....to add people as friends you need to go to there profile, and click on "befriend" and what ever the person user name is. To design your page you need to go to "User CP" and click on "customise profile" there you can pic different colours for your background text etc. If you need any help just get back to me.

Im glad everything went well, and looks like you having a very speedy recovery. I have packed soluble paracetamol and some wind ease/rennie tablets just in case i need them. And wow three hours that is very quick! Keep me posted, take care hun xx

How soon did you have your first fill?

although im not banded yet, i will be getting my first fill 4-6 weeks after im banded. -
To wear a pair of trousers...i know this might sound strange, but i never where trousers because i have knock knees (legs bend in wards) and have always been self concious because of my size. (makes it look even more obvious) so when i do loose weight, to wear a pair of trousers with confidence. haven't worn a pair in over 12 yrs!!

Hi All Im a newbie, and am thinking about getting gastric banding done. Im still in the process of finding the right surgeon to do the op. I have approached a few and have been told that they dont feel that lapband would be suitable for me because of my high bmi. I don't really want to go down the route when they start taking bits of my stomach or gastric bypass. I'm currently 390lbs and wanted to know if anyone started around a similar weight and have or is going to be banded? if so, were to told to reach a certain weight before they would operate? Thanks H xx

Hey! Wow you have done fab!! and what a great loss, well done to you! I really cant wait to be banded...i cant wait to drop dress sizes! and buy clothes that i like instead of having to buy them because they the only ones that fit.

Hey Hun!! Like somebody else said...men really dont think before they open their mouths and i know how hurtfull it must of been. Im sure out of all the people you would of thought he would be behind you. But girl!! You use that negativity and use it to your advantage....when somebody tells me i cant do something.....OHH LORD!! im like a woman on fire!! I WILL PROVE EM WRONG! lol and so will you! You have come so far! and what a great goal to set yourself! I beleive that you CAN do it!! And so do so many others on here... one you start kicking ass with your training....your dh will regret the day he opened his mouth to laugh. You have my support hun GOOOOO LESLEY!! You are a braver woman than me.....im taking it slowly, my first goal is to walk with getting pain, then to power walk. If i was the the states, i would be there with my big banner, cheering you on!!

Hi all, i signed up to the site about a week ago and have been addicted since!! Im still doing my info gathering about banding and know that it is definatly for me. Hopefully in the next three months i should be banded!! Im 5'10 and 392lbs:ohmy: so have a lot to loose, it wont be easy, but it CAN be done!! Would love to hear about all of your experiences, especialy from those who have lost 200lbs+. Am also looking for some msn band buddys......?
