10 months out bathroom problems?
Isabelmonster posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m pretty sure everyone is gonna say it’s normal but is it really I’m 10 1/2months out and I’m still having constipation problems... is this going to be a life long problem and has anyone had to be on medication to poop every days for months on end? I really hope I’m not the only one and hopefully others will stay it gets better in the years out. I don’t know how much torture I can put my bum through 😔 yes I do get about 25g of fiber more or less and I’m not a very big eater anymore like food is sooo much more less appealing, I just feel like this surgery did a number on me. -
Kinda weird question but I know breads are a big no no because of the carbs and it expands in the stomach but I wanted to know if you guys have handled pita well? I’m about 9-10 months out and I have yet to try pita.

Stomach pains
Isabelmonster replied to Isabelmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did on Friday he said protein shakes and some acid reflux medicine. He said if it continues through the week then he will send me to the hospital to get some lab work and stuff done. I do have to be persistent but I’m also scared of like hospitals at the moment but if it has to get done it has to get done! 👍🏻 -
I’m sure it has to do with the foods I eat but I was fine a few weeks ago I’m about 6-7 month out and everything that I ate gives me an annoying pain like acid reflux and inability to eat so I have been trying the protein shakes and a super bland diet. Even sometimes with that I don’t want to eat because I feel uncomfortable and that pain. What do you guys use for remedies at home or the kind of diet do you guys use to get by this phase if it is a phase.

Officially in the hair loss phase
Isabelmonster replied to loridee11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sammmmmmee my hair was falling out in chunks like now after about 6-7 months I started to have my baby hairs in the front start to grow again and parts of my head where I had the balding happening is starting to grown in a bit. A lot of people say usually after 8 months it starts to grow back after your body starts to adjust to your new consistent weight. Hopefully it keeps growing lol -
Taste buds changed?
Isabelmonster replied to Isabelmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Omg @MsMocie the tobacco smoke from my neighbor down on the second floor I can smell it from all the way up in my room!!! I hate it soo much -
Maybe it’s everyone or some but I feel like my taste buds have changed so much I can’t stand certain meats like pork and beef. Yes I didn’t love pizza cause that was my all time fav like I was #diehard pizza head but I don’t like it anymore. McDonald’s is salty and gross and don’t get me started on on favorite veggie string beans, so much has changed what about you guys any changes to your taste in foods?

Today was the absolute worst day ever
Isabelmonster posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly I didn’t think after that first 2-3 weeks with the air in your shoulder that things would get worst but today too it all. I had a bowl of Cheerios the usual 1-2ounces and my almond milk. So I have been eating it with no problem and it balances out the sugar fix or the additional that I need for the day but my god today I managed to pass out three times completely blacked out thank god I wasn’t driving and two out of the three I had a cold sweat. I haven’t had the passing out phase since the second month of surgery but I am exhausted and so scared has this ever happens to anyone?? and yes I am most definitely calling my surgeon -

So reassure me I won’t be bald forever
Isabelmonster posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a massive clump fall out my head and I’m 4/5 months out. Does your hair grow back because I’m soooo close to cutting it off I mean my hair line is like nonexistent and I can see it’s really bad. I’m drinking biotin and have the shampoo and conditioner for it I have been using and taking months before surgery but it won’t stop!! Should I cut it in a bob and wait for it to grow out and will it grow back?!? I want your input cause right now I’m trying not to freak out but I’m half way their with scissors in my hands. -
I know this is like a no go on Fast food but I wanted to ask anyways when it comes to pizzas are the gluten free ones okay to eat. My stomach is like hell no to breads and other doughy things but I know like thin crust the gluten free is also thin. Has anyone tired it and how has it felt on your stomach?

4 months out and stuck
Isabelmonster replied to Sandigirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had have the same problem going into surgery I was 245ish before the pre opt diet about 256 after about four months I am down to around 181. I don’t know if I’m eating to maintain at this point when I count the calories and some day I admit I don’t eat and then I crash sugar wise but I think 65 pounds is amazing but I’m at a stall too had my surgery November 11th. height 5’10” Sw:245 current:181 i really hope it’s not the end for me too I think now I might have to increase the exercise and really cut calories. -
Question about food
Isabelmonster replied to Isabelmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I think I’m definitely going to try the cauliflower crust in another month or too I tried the gluten free one and two bites in my stomach did this weird contraction was super uncomfortable and ended up eating the toppings off in the end. 😅 -
Issues with having a Larger body frame
Isabelmonster posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kinda wanted to see if there are Other people who are struggling to see the weight loss because we have a larger frame. I’m 5 foot 10 and I have like a large bone structure and even though I went from 256 pounds before surgery and now I’m 189 I don’t see a change in clothes or a change much elsewhere only like my shoulder and thighs. Anyone else like this? -
Is it normal to be at this amount
Isabelmonster posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m sorry I didn’t know how to title this but for food wise is it normal to be at 1/2 cup to a little more like 5 ounces of food for a meal at 4 months out? How much are you guys taking in and how many months out. -

can someone just tell me
Isabelmonster replied to ninalinas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lmfao I can’t take this post serious but I would honestly wait atleast the 6-8 weeks when your stitches should be healed. Then after to hell with all the logic and do your line to each is own 😂 but I for one definitely want to have a successful surgery especially after all that work and pain I went through to get it done. Have fun with your disco biscuit -
2 week stall! Any advice?
Isabelmonster replied to Dee2938's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dee2938 girlllll i am in the same freaking boat I have been at 186 for the last two almost three weeks. I have started to pick up on walking more aka a second job on my feet as a waitress moving around. My calorie intake has about about 700-800 a day! This is really getting to me too like I track everything and still nada... hopefully Including some more physical activity is I’ll lose this extra weight hold. 256 starting 246 surgery 186 current -
Issues with having a Larger body frame
Isabelmonster replied to Isabelmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did and I’m already going to a therapist because I think im forming body dysmorphia the pictures still look the same . @VIN_IN_AL I have about two pant sizes but my stomach doesn’t feel like it’s moving -
I agree with @motochic I’m about 2 1/2 weeks out and I don’t eat slow and try to chew my food but some days I forget. Get a small bowl that holds less then 45 ounces of food, have that and disappear from your kitchen or snack area. It’s super hard to try and slow down for me so I tend to eat that then watch a show or surf the web. If not try to take a walk or do some errands.
