  1. Happy 46th Birthday Joy1234!

  2. Thank you! I checked and I think I won't fight...and now I know I need to check with our insurance to see if they will pay if I have complications (I would have already paid in cash obviously)...thanks for your help.
  3. I was chatting and asked the infamous (as of tonight for me  exclusion question, and one person said it was almost impossible for one to try to get a waiver from that company...so I may be paying out of pocket...I need to check to see if my insurance will pay afterwards if something happens and I need more medical intervention. goodnight

    Who EXCLUDES this surgery?

So did you pay out of pocket? I'm curious, as my husband's company does not include WLS on their insurance plan...I now know it's called an exclusioin...I've posted already tonight, but thought I would again to you...have you heard of anyone trying to "fight" the company on their exclusion? If so, how did they do it, and or how did you do it. I'm new to this and I dont' have a clue as to how to post!
  5. That's the word I was looking for!!! Thank you...my husband's company has an exclusion...no WLS. So my question now is, has anyone had any luck petitioning a company...I think you call it a waiver, and or something else... Thanks, Joy

    Phcs

I don't know the lingo here so bear with me...My husband's company has PHCS, but on their company profile for what they approve and what they don't, they do not pay to cover WLS, I guess the less the company pays for the less each person pays for insurance?. How do we go about getting a waiver? Does anyone else have experince with this? Joy
