Ohh okay gotcha. I haven't had any issues with foods except the one time I dumped from trying a food. I haven't tried anything I'm not suppose to have, but I've had no problem with keeping stages of foods down at all.

What is the iron pouch??? Never heard of it 🥺. And I'm 3 weeks post op and I can hold down anything but I'm just not hungry most of the day , which is new for me (I was use to being hungry often prior to surgery) . And yesss I'm questioning what will be after the honeymoon stage as well !

Exactly! I see how small I ate and I'm like "is something wrong ? How is it that I can eat so little now ?". It hasn't caught up to me yet. Its such a weird feeling and will take some getting use to for sure 🙏

I need to measure also. What do you use ? And I do eat tiny tiny meals because right now I can't feel the full feeling yet. But even with the tiny amounts , when I don't finish it I'm like "this feels strange because I see the food and I can't finish it "

I had my sleeve done on 11/15/19. Thank y'all for giving me good advice about measuring and good info pertaining to not feeling full! I didn't think about the nerves thing 🤦 I don't know why but it makes so much sense. It's also hard to eat small meals throughout the day because I also don't feel hungry often at all so im thinking that might be normal the first few weeks as well?

I didn't think to measure it. What do you use? And i noticed sometimes I will hiccup 🤔 so possibly my sign.. I'll definitely pay more attention to myself to see if I hiccup after a meal every time etc . Thank you!!

I'm from the south lol so when we say "bless your/her heart" means they were not so smart and made a dumb decision so I hope she learned. My friend said she had a friend that decided to have chili after surgery and it busted his stomach and he had to have surgery again .. ugh Cauliflower pizza is actually really good! I've had it and I like it .

Ahhh why?! I'm terrified to even take a bigger gulp of water than I was told to in fear something will happen 😲 bless her heart. I love pizza but I'm not willing to burst because of food. My surgery was painful as is and left me terrified to end up in the hospital again.. no thanks !

Im 2 weeks out as well and occasionally get a slight hunger feeling but it never lasts long. Pizza sounds amazing but the calories etc do not lol that was one of my favorite foods! But I'm sure once we're able to have normal food again, there's a healthier way to make your own pizza 🤩

Hi! Congrats ! I've found that more people haven't experienced what I've experienced. But few have had the same . I hope yours goes smoothly ! Good luck!! Definitely use what people have posted, to ensure your covered on all pain level aspects and healing 💕

I've had to learn to sleep on my sides.. it's been hard to get use too lol I'm use to sleeping on my belly 😵

I go on Monday 12/2 for my 2 week follow up. I was checked for infections via urine and blood test and X-rays , all clear. So idk... Maybe my body is just taking longer to recover ? No clue. I don't have pain associated with it and I'm not dehydrated at all. So that's a plus. Happy Thanksgiving!

I had the sleeve done 11/15/19, and I know when they cut through the stomach they also cut through nerves in the stomach....but I need to know if it's "normal" to not have feeling in your bladder? I can't tell when I need to pee because I don't get the feeling anymore so I literally have to just go after time has passed and guess when I need to go... Anyone else have this issue or had this ??!

Well I had gone to the Dr and they ran tests to make sure there was no internal post op infection and everything came back normal. So maybe it'll wear off ?

Omg so you experienced what I did?!!! The pain was awful! And I too, watched all the YouTube videos and was like yassss I'm ready and excited let's go!! Immediately after surgery I was in pain and anesthesia made me sick. Then I had the contraction spasm things and I wanted to die! It was so unbearable! And yea my family didn't come visit and I guess didn't see it as a "needed" or "serious" so they got tired of hearing about my pain each day [emoji58]. I was in the hospital the whole weekend. It's been one hell of a ride and I'm like ahhhh when will this pain end?! My fiancé stayed by my side but none of my family came up there to visit me.. but you have support here [emoji137] guess we gotta keep our head up lol no turning back now Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

I haven't tried squash or sweet potatoes yet. But eggs, yes. I try to add flavor to them though lol tired of plain stuff and I can only get so creative on puree 😑. I should try the sweet potatoes though

That's good that you didn't experience much pain. I definitely am sore especially when bending which is frustrating because I have to get creative with putting socks and shoes on ugh. And puree is tough for me because I'm tired of liquids and also puree lol. The weight thing is there for me too. I think it's normal ? I don't eat much but hopefully the foods will get better for you. I'm struggling with finding stuff to puree 😑. Have you found a lot you can eat pureed?? And with the holidays ugh lol the food I want

Yea it's been pretty rough. Glad to know someone else had it close to mine! It's been a rough recovery to say the least. How's your recovery going ?? At this point i just feel bruised. How's your diet going ? Or what foods are you able to have now ?,

Yes ! Ahhh it was like having contractions ! I felt so alone, seriously. I watched so many vlogs on YouTube of those who've had it done and theirs were easy peezy and I was like 😭😭. I'm still really tender ! And one spot I noticed now is numb🤔 next to my main incision. Normal ? I'm so happy I have so many others to talk too about this procedure 💕

Hey, I've had 2 pillows and it has helped a lot. My pain is easing up now with just feeling sore like bruised and the pillows are amazing! Thank you!

Congrats btw! I really appreciate the amount of support I'm getting already ! Ive definitely felt alone because even the drs would look at me and say "idk why you're experiencing that pain or what it is. But hey here's some more meds(which didn't even touch the pain🙄)" but I'm happy to see I have a ton of support from many different people who have had this done!
