Im 4 months post op... And I've only lost 36 pounds so far but I'm discouraged because my old clothes STILL fit and aren't loose on me.. I don't see a difference at all... Ugh... It's honestly depressing... Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

I haven't taken comparison photos. I tend to steer clear of that just because I'm still working on self image etc. But I know I lost weight (when I didn't think I did) because I had my Drs appointments in the last couple weeks and I was told my weight was down from before surgery weigh in. So that was an exciting thing to hear. I'm not sure if I've lost still but I'm active. But even the weight I lost, my clothes(ones I wore before surgery) aren't loose or seem to be loosening up.. so it's very confusing and discouraging. Lol!!! Omg that's great !! And I recently can only have (for main food) hard boiled eggs and grilled chicken. Everything else makes me have a hypoglycemic episode and then I'm sick like I have the flu

It's so annoying and embarrassing! People are always like "is that your stomach ? Are you hungry ?". And I'm like noooo I fed it already

Welcome! This forum is amazing and so much support! Glad to have you. Luckily you didn't experience much pain from the surgery, because it was horrific for me. I still have tender spots I guess from nerves repairing etc. I too, have hit a stall but was told it's normal as well. There's plenty of support and encouragement on this forum! You're definitely not a failure 😊 we're here for you and along for the ride of your journey as well 🙋 -

Hi I'm Crystal. I'm new on here. I had my sleeve surgery done 11/15/19. But I feel so alone in my experience. The first night in the hospital was traumatizing, I experienced pain like no other. The pain I had was almost like my entire stomach contracted and it was horrific to feel!!! So I was kept there for the whole weekend. I've been home now and I've been okay. Turning at night and finding a "comfortable"position is nearly possible. Has anyone else had a hellish recovery process ?!?! Or is mine abnormal?! And the whole "days 3 to the 6th day are the worst", is no joke! Ahhh please tell me I'm not the only one in this painfulness -

Hi! Well it seems I've hit a stall in losing weight at the moment. I'm not sore anymore but I'm believed to have become hypoglycemic 🙄 which is awful so I've had to really be careful with anything I try and eat or drink. Other than that I've been doing pretty well since surgery. I have one spot on my stomach that is still really tender (not sure why.. maybe my nerves are still repairing). But keeping my head up and having hope I'll get off this stall I'm on. You ?? -

I'm definitely going to see my PCP about it. Hoping something will be figured out. It does happen hours after eating but it'll hit me hard and quick to the point I get really dizzy and nauseated and sometimes actually sick. My gpa developed type 2 diabetes a few years ago. Which I don't think is hereditary but still a scary thought . But this is all new and just started maybe a week or 2 ago and it's happened 3 times since it started. -

Unfortunately, I don't have one or know anyone who does :/. But was told that I need to see the Dr when I'm having the symptoms because otherwise it's harder to test for and harder to figure out how to treat it . But every time I have an episode it hits me really hard and I'm out for the count for at least a day or 2. It's kinda scary considering I've been fortunate enough in life not to have anything serious with health other than my weight. So I really know nothing about this or the severity of it. Thank you for commenting and I'll probably need to look into maybe getting that to test myself during an episode. -

I had surgery 11/15/19, and I don't drink anything or eat anything with sugar. That I'm aware of anyways. I'm not a sweets person. But I've had 3 episodes in the last few weeks. Not sure what's causing it. And I read that you need to go to the Dr when you're having an episode/symptoms otherwise it's hard for them to diagnose it. But it hits me randomly and it hits me pretty hard to where I had I'm out for the count the rest of the day with feeling sick and dizzy 😷 it's a horrible feeling 😒 . Glad I'm not alone. Thank you for commenting -
I've tried walking out the gas that I get here and there. The gas that gets trapped directly in the center of your stomach and it's painful.. so any position suggestions to ease it out??? Walking gets painful during the center of stomach ones [emoji51] Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you! It doesn't happen often but when it does happen it's randomly and very painful. It'll feel like it's directly in the center in just one spot. It's awful

I use sugar free water flavoring. Or lemon juice. I try to drink 64 ounces a day but even that's been difficult since surgery because of taking smaller sips(not as small as right after surgery, but small to prevent discomfort). But I've been working on it 🤞
-
Lol oh great so I'll probably experience taste change as well. Crazy how the body is after surgery!
-
I havent tried that. I definitely will look into it! Ty
-
Ahhh okay ! So glad its something that happens and I'm not just being some kind of baby about water 😂 everyone's like "umm it's just water how does it make you nauseous?!" And I never had an answer except that I had no idea and I had to add flavor otherwise I felt so ill! Glad to know I'm not alone 😊😊

I was fine drinking plain water prior to surgery. But now it just makes me sick every time I drink it. It reminds me of the saline they would flush my IV with. But it's so weird.

Salad with romaine lettuce. Which ive had before and no prob. But this time idk why it happened
-
I drink 30 minutes after eating. I'm sure mixing the 2 would be painful
-
I don't drink while eating. It's only been 2 times it's happened. I definitely don't want to mix the drinking while eating. I'm sure it's painful

I don't feel like I'm losing much weight.. others said they "notice" a difference.. but I can't tell at all.. which is rather discouraging.. I had my surgery on 11/15/19.. does losing weight hit some kind of peak a few weeks out and then start up again..or ?? Ahhh[emoji17] Sent from my moto g(7) supra using BariatricPal mobile app
