Looking for a quality vitamin

Bariatric Fusion. 2 twice a day. -
There is no such thing as people not being able to lose weight. The only people who stop are those who: a) Put themselves into starvation mode, and get a protracted stall while losing muscle mass. b) Eat in you case, over about 2600 calories per day. It's just math, and you have been doing great. But honestly you are at the weight now, that I started at, so there should be no difference between us from here on out, except you've got more practice 🙂

I'm constantly hungry 10 days post op, is this normal?
Fatboyslim1 replied to Ninja-slash-nerd's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I was on liquid for 2 weeks. Everything flows right through your stomach. I e been on regular "soft food" for 5 days, and I am feel quite after very little food,. -
Yep. Branch's seem pretty good. 10 Carlos each. 2-3 per day seems to cure my sweet cravings
-
Sorry to hear that. I am 2-1/2 weeks out, and the happiest I have been in years. I guess it's all about perspective. Just tough it out, as no matter how you feel now, 6 months from now you'll be ready to take on the world !

Had surgery on the 18th
Fatboyslim1 replied to RedDackel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am of the belief that the pain many encounter is due to the pressure on the incisions, due to any gas left in the abdominal cavity. I have heard stories about people being bloated after, and passing a lot of gas, and those seem to be the same people that have pain. For myself, I was not bloated (other than a lot of water from IV's) and I had no gas, and no pain. Took one Advil a day for 4 days starting the day after, and that was it. Perhaps it's more a result of surgeon technique than anything else ? -
Have any of you dumped on purpose?
Fatboyslim1 replied to JRT Mom's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
The average person who fails after WLS does so because of sugar. Watch any heavy person with previous surgery and you will always see one of two things in their hands. soda and/or candy. It's the only way to screw up, because your new smaller stomach can't process enough actual food, to blow people back up. If you have a sugar craving already, you should talk to a nutritionist about how to get over that hump. It's a terrible addiction and releases the exact same opioids in your brain as heroin and cocaine. I have tied the sugar free hard candies from Branch's, and they are pretty good. 10 calories each. A couple per day seems to get me over any cravings. Keep at it. -
Weight loss is going very slow.
Fatboyslim1 replied to jinnjuice527's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You're doing great. Don't forget that the weight you lost before surgery (for those who had a pre-op diet requirement) is still lost weight. The sleeve doesn't change the way you lose weight, it just makes the process easier to cope with. 3500 calories are basically one lb. Your body at todays weight burns about 2600 calories per day (at sedentary). If you are consuming 600+/- than you have an excess burn of aprox 2000 calories, which is about .67 of a lb per day, which seems to be right at your current weight loss number. Also don't forget that the amount of water you are supposed to be consuming (post surgery) is very heavy, and that hydration can fluctuate your weight by a few lbs. You can't really change that for the better, because if you take in too few calories, you will go into starvation mode, which will halt your progress. Keep up the good work. You are right on track. -
could be the treadmill is angled uphill a bit. make sure it is level

I also had a weird blood sugar spike in the hospital, but nothing since. Best of luck! -
How many calories per day have you consumed on average over the past 7 days?
-
Perhaps you don't quite understand. Say for example your stomach was originally the size of 2 bananas (and we are talking in its un stretched state) and now your stomach is the size of one banana. what percentage of your stomach was removed ? Now imagine that your stomach was the size of 3 bananas, and now it is one. What percentage of your stomach was removed? I asked my surgeon "how big was my stomach" and he said "kind of like the size of a football, but it's really hard to tell as stomachs are very elastic." He said my new stomach is "the size of the banana." You do the math

2 Weeks Post-Op - Depressed, Discouraged
Fatboyslim1 replied to clairegabr's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You think you're depressed ? You had your surgery one day after me, and you have lost one more pound than me. That's crap! Now I'm depressed. . . . Not really , chill, you are obviously right on track. -
Never. Or you will never feel full. it's completely the opposite of what the surgery is meant to accomplish.

As of this morning..... No longer obese!

Pinch and release the skin on the back of your hand. If it snaps back immediately and perfectly, your hydration is good. If on the other hand the small bit you release stays up a bit, or doesn't immediately mold back like nothing happened, you are dehydrated. You can literally go months without food, but you need the liquid, and some enzymes. Gatorade zero, stat.

rice is CRAZY high in calories. A lb of rice has 4 times more calories than a lb or potatoes. Wouldn't it be better to eat chips ?
