It's so nice to meet someone who knows Dr. Grooves! He did bypass surgery on a dear lady that goes to our church and she did great. I am afraid of gastric bypass and so I am leaning more toward the lap band. My daughter is also very obese and I want to do something to show her that people can survive the surgery and hopefully give her a whole new life. I was supposed to go to Dr. Grooves for my first doctors visit in March and we had a death in the family so I cancelled and am having a hard time getting up my nerve again, so I thought I would visit this site for motivation.
Teachers are God's angels on earth! I have a friend that also teaches and she had gastric bypass surgery about 3 or 4 years ago and she is doing great and she actually used our local surgeon here in Fort Payne - I would have been terrified - but she looks like she has lost 20 years not to mention about 150 pounds - she is actually high on life now and wishes she had done it years ago. She and I graduated together and she had a weight problem from her young childhood that haunted her all her life until this surgery. I am so happy for her and others that have been given this tool to use to enjoy life!
This is my first day to post and I am so glad I did!
