After over 10 years of yo yo dieting ( I tried them all ) I decided I needed to do something more.  I was tired of hiding everytime someone broke out the dreaded camera!  My husband & I have literally thousands of great vacation photos and I am conveniently "missing" from 99% of them.  Whenever my husband insisted on my being in a photo( and that caused a few arguments) I made sure to be behind a tree, car or anything else that would " hide " me.  I want to be in those pictures, I want to walk up that hill and see the sunset with my husband without sucking wind a quarter of the way up!
   Speaking of my husband he is quite an amazing man and is always assuring me how beautiful I am-- He's a really good liar but I do so love him for that  but when I look in the mirror I don't see the same woman he sees. I see a woman thats morbidly obese, who needs more insulin, who can't walk up the stairs , whose knees ache all day long , whose blood pressure is sky rocketing, who's romantic life is suffering and who wishes she could smash every damn mirrors in the world!
   In 2008 I seriously considered the Lap Band and I went to a seminar and then again in 2009 with Dr D and I realized that it wasn't an easy way out but an option, and that I owed it to myself to consider it and here I am ready to embark on my life changing journey and just possibly NOT HAVE TO SMASH ANY FREAKEN MIRRORS!!!
