  1. Hello Audrey!!! I'm from the Lakes Region of NH also. I see you have been here on lapbandtalk since 2004. Did you get your band? Do you like it? How much weight have you lost?!

    Talk soon!

Wow thats exciting!!! I'm in the same boat as you...the early stages of this process. Keep us posted. I like to hear others tell their story of their journey. Deb :w00t:

    Is this Band Camp?

Welcome!!! I am not banded yet but find this site to be one of the best resources available on the net; I hope you do to. Thats pretty neat that both you and your wife got banded together. Aaah it's the ties that bind us together...or something like that. Anyways I think it's cool. Deb

    My LapBand blog and vlog!

Hi, I read your "bandster Heaven" and WOW what a great job you did with it  Thanks for sharing! I am very early in my process of being banded and really appreciate your open and honest approach to sharing your journey. Deb
  8. We recently cruised and did not need a passport to enter or exit; Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Panama. To avoid any mishaps during your recovery time, I'd get a passport for sure. You'd hate to be stuck in Mexico just after having surgery. Deb
  9. Wow, congrats to you!!! You are on your way. I am in the very early stages of being a bandster and totally wish you luck. :biggrin2: Please keep us posted with your progress. Its exciting and inspiring to others. Deb

    Ladies I need your help!!

I'd call your gyn's office and tell them about your insurance issues. They should give you a "sliding scale" fee or accomodate you somehow; perhaps even putting the bill off until your insurance is reinstated. The doctors office will work with you. They should anyways Good luck! Deb
  11. Sometimes God works in mysterious ways. Perhaps this extra time is needed for you to reflect upon your new way of life... or another option rather than surgery. :wink2: Deb
  12. We visited Jamaica, Nasua, Belize & Key West. It was a terrific way to spend the holidays! Brilliance is a beautiful ship and we had the time of our lives!!!

    80's Trivia

OMG this made me laugh so hard!!! And there I thought I was the only one personally responsible for the hole in the ozone!!! The memories are great though arent they? :scared2: Deb
  16. Welcome... I am new also to the lapband process and I think you will find this site a fantastic resource; I sure have! Good luck!!! :scared2: Deb
  17. Have you contacted the manufacturer? Maybe your doctors office could give you that information and you could persue it yourself before you get a lawyer involved. Lets face it, a lawyer is going to cost you money before he will do anything. There are also consumer guides and protection agencies that may help you. I'd definitly persue it; what have you got to lose? :scared2: Deb
  18. Becky- I read your post from this past Sunday (5/25) about the pictures and report from your surgeon. Please... you made me cry. It is so easy for us to beat ourselves up and be super critical of our own bodies. You must not do this! You have achieved a tremendous goal and should look at your progress as another hill you must climb, another problem you must solve... you can make this great also.

I feel for you and sympothize with you. You are beautiful, you are a woman!

    high blood pressure

Do you have a family history of hypertension? Both my parents have hypertension and at an early age (25 like yourself) I was put on bp meds. It's a serious thing, don't take it lightly. :frown:Watch it for a couple of months and if it doesn't go down then you should see your PCP. You may need a low dose. You could also try drinking more Water, reducing your sodium intake and exerising more. All good things to wash away excess salt in our bodies! Deb
  20. Wow, that is super exciting!!!! GOOD LUCK :scared2: Deb
