who supports right to choose
ELENATION replied to 396power's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Forgot to add, if I was the mom, I still would've given my daughter a choice, even if she was 16 or 17...and I would've welcome that baby with open arms, I wouldn't have liked the fact that she was irresponsible and got pregnant at such an early age, I would've told her off probably, but I still would've supported her in her decision and most definitely I would've given her choices... -
who supports right to choose

This one goes to everyone, I just want your opinion... My best friend had two abortions when she was 16 and 17 years old.... she was boy crazy at the time, her dad had passed away, her self esteem was so low and well, she got pregnant, her mom took her the an abortion clinic and made her have two abortions, didn't give her a choice... we never talked about it, she didn't like to talk about it, years later she finally told me that she resented her mom for making that decision for her and not giving her a choice and that she went along with it because she didn't know better and was scared....she does feel guilty about the abortions, I didn't know what to say, finally I told her that she shouldn't feel guilty, she was a minor, she was so young and scared, then she said that her mom wasn't a good mother and should have helped her instead of just pushing her to abort the babies, this was back in the 70's... she never told her mom and her mom passed away, but I know she resents her because of that, I knew her mom as well and she really was a good mom to her and a nice person overall, I really don't know what to tell my friend whenever we talk about this now, how do you feel about it? do you blame my friend, her mom, or both? or no one? -

Sad that it is necessary, but a very good idea!!!!!! -
As long as you consider yourself a huge patriot, that's what matters! I don't think we have to totally agree or disagree with the president to be a patriot.. we are all simply different, think different, have gone through different life experiences that makes us feel the way we do.. I for one think that Bush has not been perfect of course, I don't think any president has been in the history of the US, you know, these are really people, they make mistakes like everyone else, but I also think Bush has taken a lot of blame for things that were already going on when he got into office, I think that his intentions have been good and sometimes things didn't work out the way they should have, but I think he has tried, I've seen other presidents done worst, at least in my opinion.... now, in my case, I don't bash my country's leaders, never have, wether I agree with them or not, I don't care if they are republican or democrats, I may comment on things that I like or not like about his performance as the president, but I I wouId never insult him, would never ever go overseas and bash him, I personally find that behavior disgusting, I personally wait for the next term, for a president that I may like more, but I hate the bashing thing.... it's a matter of loyalty for me, I guess it's just my reasoning, for me it's like if my child committed a crime and went to prison, I would hate it, I would disagree, I would tell her, but I would still go see her on sundays and be there for her, because ultimately she is my child, well, as silly as that may sound, that is how I feel about the leaders of our country....the good thing is that every 4 years we have a new opportunity to elect a different one, but for now, we, and I mean we, the people put him there, so I respect that.. personally our reputation overseas doesn't concern me terribly, I don't have the greatest opinion about their reputation myself, and besides, the US has always been the target of envy among many in this world, no matter how much we do, it's never enough....but I don't see many countries out there doing much..., anyway, that's a whole different issue...
-
No need to add anything else, you said it all, I stand in complete agreement with you on this.
-
You know, feeling hurt and angry because you believe that someone has called you unpatriotic is a good thing, it means that you are indeed patriotic, otherwise you wouldn't care... and even thought when words are written here they sometimes come across different from what we really mean to say, I really don't think that you were called unpatriotic, I really don't.
-
well, it's good to know it's not bitterness... you are way to young for that... I don't think that nobody has called you a bad american though... and yeah, I would not like it either.... thankfully nobody has ever called me that.... I admit that I consider myself freaking patriotic....at least I'd like to think so....lol.. but it's all in the eye of the beholder, what may seem patriotic to me, may seem silly to others, I don't think we all go by strict definition of the word...

Hey, It may be amazing to you, but I still have the right to my own opinions.... and those facts may be interpreted in different ways by different people, as of now and since then Al Qaeda IS in Iraq and one way or the other it's connected with 911 in my opinion, again, this is just my opinion, I'm definitely not going to try to change yours and thousands of articles, writting, nothing is going to change mine, so we disagree, that's fine, no need to keep arguing about it you and I, and I'm ok with that. I hope you are too.
-
I'm sorry about your personal loss on 911....very sad... I completely understand how you feel, there is not enough reading in this world, education, books that can teach you what you actually live through....those are life experiences that stay with us forever and they touch us deeply...

He is sick, demented, I can't even find the words.... who the heck is following this crazy bastard? -
Well forgive me, that's her opinion and the Commission's opinion.... I still have mine...

Lauren, are you really sorry to appear a little aggressive? come on, you may want to re-read your previous posts , pretty much all of them.... you appear very aggressive in mostly all of them, I'm sure you know that... you are smart... you always seem to be pissed at the world, bitter, unfortunately your posts don't come across as passionate, but aggressive.... but that's ok... most of the times I think it's funny, yesterday I was in a feisty mood... so I decided to aggresively join you... About 911...I do believe that some people have forgotten too quickly about it, and it's not lack of patriotism necessarily, but somewhat a natural tendency that people forget after a while.... by Sadam not complying with the UN, and the US going there, taking him out and helping the people from Iraq is sending a message to the terrorists that the US is not going to put up with their crap any longer, and that message goes directly to the 911 terrorists, to all of them, that's just one reasonwhy I do think that there is a connection between 911 and Sadam, we may not agree, oh well.... but hey, don't get all pissed off all the time, you are going to get too many wrinkles too young....
-
That's your opinion and your opinion only, Sadam if not directly, indirectly had to do with 911 , with terrorism, and that's my opinion, we can agree to disagree. Ultimately Sadam had to be eliminated and the people from Iraq deserved our help and that's a good thing, obviously we both see this issue totally different and that's fine.
-
In my opinion, Sadam not only had a lot to do with it, but he was no better than Bin Laden, and I don't care if they hated each other, they were both scum and should Sadam would have complied with the UN, then we wouldn't be there now, he deserved it, has this Iraq war, or call it whatever they want to call it, has it worked out perfectly, maybe not, was it worth it, heck yes! and those who are serving joined our army voluntarily, and most of them are very proud and happy to be there serving, while we are here complainting about the war, the president and everything that we can find to complaint about.... Actually, everything that goes wrong with our country, or even outside our country, Bush gets blamed....it's darn funny, absolutely everything that may go wrong, don't look further, it's George Bush's fault, funny stuff....stupid also... I personaly am to the point that I just laugh about it..... it gets old and then the first ones to start the whole complainting thing are our "celebrities" people that are so darn far from living reality, gee, for all I care, they shouldn't have the right to vote.... they are totally out of touch with reality .... I'm pretty much sick and tired of them, the media and the blaming Bush for absolutely everything that doesn't go right.... it is simply ridiculous... my opinion only here...
-
I don't get tired of saying that....have people forgotten about 911? Unbelievable..... I totally agree with your post.
-
Agreed...and my respect to your son as well! I know the majority are happy and proud to be there.
-
Exactly, people forgot about 911 very quickly....unfortunately....

I'm with you!

Poll - Democrat or Republican?
ELENATION replied to KariK's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Republican, I was born republican and will die republican... Conservative, but not an extremist....... -
I'm 100% with you! it depends from who and when! I know that some people are just really nice and mean it in a sweet way and some are fakes!

I haven't talked to DH yet, but I was thinking that maybe I'm wrong.... I think he used paypal.....because he was dealing with paypal too for them to recover the money and they said that they have sent the seller to "collections" ?? whatever that means, so maybe he used his debit card number but transfered it to paypal....anyways...sorry, I'm rambling on....I'll let you know... THanks,. Elena
-
Hi wassa, Thank you for responding.... I do know that he paid with a debit card, not exactly a credit card, but I don't know if that will be considered the same.... I will ask DH all the details and e-mail you monday... The funniest thing is that it would've been a fake anyways? that sucks.... when he was in the process of buying it, or deciding, I told him not to do it, and we discussed the fact that it could be a fake and he said that this one came with a certificate of authenticity.... maybe that would've been fake too.... ultimately they didn't even send him a fake one.... THanks again and I'll find out the most I can from him and e-mail you. Elena

My hubby ordered an autograph picture of a sport person...can't remember the name, paid over $500.00 and they never sent it to him, he contacted the seller, but the person had moved out, he contacted paypal, they said they would try to resolve it, they called DH back and told him that they have sent it to collection, DH has called several times after that and they still haven't collected nothing, so this was a llong time ago now, so I know we'll never see the money again, is there anything else we can do Wassa? probably not....but if you have any idea.....let me know please...we sure don't buy on e-bay anymore , ever!
