Hey, I lived in Florida at the time, as a matter of fact, I lived in South FLorida... those allegations are not entirely accurate and they are blown out of proportion and even so, not worst by far than the John Kennedy election...

I just recently heard about Blackwater, I never knew about it.... but from what I read from the previous post, it did remind me of the 911 conspiracy theorists....

You cannot be serious when you say that we "attacked" Iraq and that we devastated their poeple, in my opinion, we went to Iraq looking for weapons of mass destruction, that even though were not found, it was believed Hussein had them , even by Clinton.. and Hussein did not comply with the UN over and over again , as far as I'm concerned, we have helped greatly the people from Iraq..

And it isn't.... again, what's not fair is that a group, any group, is judged by a few or some tha are doing wrong... I don't think anybody should be judged by others. period.

Exactly! Phelps is not a Christian, he can cal himself that or whatever he wants, but he is just not one.... I'm talking about real Christ followers... the ones that are trying to be like Him and that may never be because they are not perfect, but at least they try...

Yes, that's what I was trying to say... I have experienced the same, I've seen many Christians doing good, but I'm aware that some don't, but it's sad that Christianity is judged based on the ones that are doing wrong... I think it's not fair... and also, when someone is trying to improve and become a better person in general, as long as is trying, that's Christ like behavior... one does not have to be perfect.. LOL!!!!!!!! I know it!!!!!!!!! This girl that I work with told me once that all fat girls have pretty faces... I wanted to slap her...but I didn't.... I only said...."I don't think so" ugh! I hate that a lot of people think that just because someone is skinny, automatically you are beautiful, I've seen some not so attractive skinny people... I used to find Rosie pretty years ago, now she seems so mad all the time that in my eyes it wipes the beauty away... it's like she seems bitter and pissed off... but she is definitely not ugly...

Yeah, it does make much, much sense! and I also thought that it was ok to forgive without forgetting... but it seems to me that unless I can forget it, I can't let go of the resentment...which is not forgiving...I think... For some reason I just feel (personally) that the way I forgive is just not right... not completely sincere... But then again, what you said makes sense, the way you feel after a betrayal is sort of learning from your past... I guess I'm rambling too...

Let me re-phrase that.... I don't have ANY sympathy for child molestors!

lol..I agree, that doesn't count... YOu know, about a year ago, this guy moved right accross our townhouse and his next door neighbor discovered that he was a registered sex offended, he pulled the record on the guy and he had molested a child under the age of 13....freaking disturbing.... his next door neighbor who had a little girl, I have two, and even if you don't have kids, it's creepy having to live next to a child molestor... anyway, the neighbor passed flyers to all the neighbors urging to call the association and complaint and many did including me....and they were able to evict him... I wasn't loving that neighbor for sure.... and I don't really have much sympathy for child molestors at all, I know he probably did his time for what he did, since he is out now, but I just can't bring myself to love that type of neighbor....so there I go breaking the Christian laws I suppose.... lol! I mean, in a case like this, what are we supposed to do? you know, it's tough...

I'm sure some don't like you said..., in most religions we are supposed to love our neighbors, but I'm sure that in all of them there are exceptions of course, I just would hate to single Christianity out....I think it happens within every religion, and how often, I think we really don't know... we may have an idea or opinion.... I'm glad we agree on the rest though... because I tell you, there is nothing that turns my stomach more than to see some people proclaiming to be religious and doing wrong all over the place and hurting others and some even killing in the name of their religion or god... it is disturbing...

This is how I feel about your post... How do we know if "many" who follow Christianity don't follow the laws of Christ? we are really not inside people's hearts, so that would be heart to determine, even though I agree that I'm sure there are people from every religion that don't follow the rules... I, as a Christian, following the rules the best I can and far from perfect, because I'm NOT perfect, I DON"T judge anybody and dislike those who judge others, who are we to judge? I try to treat others the way I would like to be treated, I don't intentionally hurt others and if I realize that I did, I would definitely apologize, and I don't try to convince anybody to become religious and I also have Christian friends and from different religions and frankly I have never seen one trying to convert others, so even though you and I may differ about Christianity, obviously agree with the rest. That was a very difficult situation, I do feel bad for her and the circumstances were hard for her and it wasn't her choice and I do feel compassion for her because whether she did right or wrong, she ultimately suffered and just for that alone I feel compassion... I'm not pro abortion, so it's hard to explain all my feelings about this situation right now, I do understand your point... my friend and yours, just the opposite extremes...sad...

I agree, I feel a little uncomfortable talking to her about this because I know she doesn't like to talk about it, but I think she needs to talk about it though... I'm in Illinois, but she is now in Tampa, Florida.. I really hope she does get counseling... I appreciate your help.

I agree, thank you... I have told her as well... I think she is better now that some years ago... but I still think that counseling will be good for her..

Yes, I agree... regardless of how I feel about what happened to her, I don't blame her mother either, I think she was trying to protect her, I could tell that she loved her, her mom died and I know she loved her mom and I think she forgives her.... but there is something inside her that is not quiet right about the whole thing... you are very right though, thank you.

Thank you, I have told her to attend counseling, but never really gave her a specific place, thank you for the info...she also has problems even talking about it.... I do feel so bad for her though..
