    Hospital Bag

I'm such an over planner too! I have a basket of things I've been adding to for post op. My plan for the hospital is to bring: Carmex Biotin Mouth Spray (I've seen a bunch of people post about dry mouth and this helping) Ear buds Phone/Charger Pillow Toothbrush/toothpaste Lotion Really loose athletic pants/t-shirt/zip up fleece to wear home Brush Dry Shampoo (yeah I'm vain!) And really that's it. I thought about my ipad and slippers, but I hear over and over about people not using their laptops of ipads, and frankly I can do anything on my phone that I can do on my ipad. Since I live a couple of hours from where I will be having surgery, the plan is for me to stay two nights.

    January 2020 Surgery Date

Looks like there are a few of us on 1/27! Im glad to have others to follow this journey on! I find it so interesting how different all of our pre-op requirements are. Here is mine, it starts 2 weeks before surgery: Breakfast: Protein Shake Snack: 1 Cup of Fruit Lunch: Protein Shake Snack: Protein Shake or 6 oz nonfat Greek Yogurt (can add protein powder if needed for hunger) Dinner: 3-6 oz lean protein with either 1 cup steamed veggies or 2 cups salad with 2 Tbsp light dressing Snack: Protein Shake (if needed) 64 oz of water a day

    January 2020 Surgery Date

I just looked at my countdown app and it's ELEVEN Days (1/13) until I start my pre-op liquid diet and 25 days (1/27) until surgery! I feel like it's so close but also so far away! I still have one more pre-op appointment and set of lab work to be done. I feel like I'm well prepared. I have multiple types of proteins on hand, both premade and powdered, vitamins have been received, boxes of jello, lots of bone broth, got a new robe for the hospital. I have a basket set aside for things for my hospital bag and items for when I get home post-op. Im an over planner by nature and I keep feeling like there is more I should be doing! How is everyone else doing?

    January 2020 Surgery Date

You're my surgery sister! I'm having my sleeve to RNY revision on 1/27/2020 and our starting weights are very close (I'm at 269). My pre-op liquid diet also starts on 1/13. I think I'm just as nervous for that as I am the surgery itself. I feel like the dates are so far yet so close at the same time. The holidays will make at least two of the weeks fly by!

    January 2020 Surgery Date

Just got my date! January 27, 2020. I was hoping to be able to do sooner, but due to work obligations, the 27th is what works. So excited/nervous. I'll be having surgery at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. I'm a revision from Sleeve (2011) to RNY/Bypass due to severe GERD and 70lb regain. The primary reason is the GERD, but I won't lie, I'm excited to be able to lose weight again! I am pretty active on Instagram, if anyone else is there, we could start a January2020 hastag! My IG name is gastricbypassloser_mj
