About Me
I cannot believe its only been 4 years since I had this surgery! Seems like I have had this band my whole life! I guess maybe my whole "new" life that is true! I guess I am one of the bandsters that has very few complaints about her band. I have lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off for over 3 years...yes, that means I lost my weight all fairly quickly. I HAVE noticed that it is harder to maintain this past year. I have set a 5# limit for gain...and when I am there, I go straight back to beginning band eating. The one thing I have done that is taboo is drink with my meals....and yes, you can and do eat more. So, I have to be careful to watch my portions. I am probably at the best restriction ever, but eat too fast some times with way to big of bites....thus the drink. So...I may be where I need to be goal wise, but I know this is a struggle I will live with my whole life. And I have NO intentions of going back to where I was. It is still WAY easier to lose 5# than to lose 114#! So limits will stay in place.
I have NEVER regretted my decision to have my band. There are days I may not like it so much, but never regretted it.
