I am with you Telly Melly...not really sleep eating, but on my way to sleep when everyone else is asleep and I can eat in peace. I have tried to curtail it since being banded or at least make a better choice (if my willpower is gone) like a sip of isopure. I may have to get a bike chain...good idea! Or at least close the pantry fully, because it creaks when I open it....

I just received my first fill yesterday 1.4cc in a 4 cc band. I AM STARVING! I have read enough posts here to know that sometimes it takes a while to feel restriction, but I hope it comes soon or I am liable to do something drastic....(like drink another protein shake..ha ha). I can't wait until I am back on mushies!
-
Great job...you look wonderful!

"I guess it doesnt matter how often you eat but you must not eat more than 600-900 cals a day." My doctor said to stay between 1000 and 1300 calories a day. Normally when I go lower than that I do not lose.

They had me take 40 mg of Prednisone before surgery. But other than that, I was fine.
-
I am really dissapointed about Elliot...but I would love to see Taylor win. Kat annoys me (maybe because she is thin....just kidding!)

Hi Guys! I just had my five week visit...down another 2 pounds. I will be getting filled on Monday! I am excited!

OK so my period is still not here...my roomate at the hospital who also had lap band surgery had hers ever since we had surgery and I have had none. The doctor told her it was just hormones. Did anyone else experience this? I know I am not pregnant....so that is not the problem!
-
I didn't even weigh in this week. Last week did everything right...little loss...then no loss. This week ate some cheese and crackers (HORRORS!) first real carbs since a month before surgery. My period is due and I have not been to the bathroom in about 2 weeks. Took Fiber, mineral oil, and even some leftover Zenical ....What to do, what to do! Hopefull this week will be better!

Thanks for the help....the funny thing is, I have no idea what got stuck, maybe I did not chew my vitamin good (???????????)
-
I take Adipex and Bontril PDM...especially until I get restriction. I just want to keep losing! I was taking Tenuate, hoever it is too big to get past the band!
-
I am stuck right now....I just threw up a bunch of mucus (slime I guess) I am afraid to drink, afraid to move, ......just afraid. I read the deep breath post no relief....any other suggestions? HELP!

I'm with you Telly...if you feel you can do it, GO FOR IT!

I too am afraid of gaining, but I found that tracking what I eat makes a huge difference and being honest with myself. I am fat because I do not know what a portion size is...so I now measure. I also record everything on www.fitday.com, which provide nutritional facts for what I am eating and tracks it against my personal nutrition goals ( for instance I allow myself 1000 - 1200 calories; 15-25 grams of carbs; and 80-100 grams of Protein. For me just seeing in black and white what I am eating has helped. Just a suggestion!

I refrained....I drank my water...it tasted just like chocolate cake! (I can pretend can't I?)

I almost succumbed to a piece of chocolate cake and then this e-mail cam and I remebered my weekend weight loss goal. Thanks guys! OOOH! the icing looked so yummy!

TellyMelly and NJGirl: 27/28 lbs loss CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!! Roberta Thanks alot! Most of it was lost during pre-op! Now I am just trying to not gain during mushies!
-
Thanks so much! I guess I should concentrate not on losing, but not gaining prior to my first fill!
-
Well not exactly true. I had my surgery on april 13, 2006. In total I have lost 28 pounds, 16 before surgery and 12 after. I just started mushies this past friday. Since then I have been diligent in using FitDay.com to track my daily eating and exercise. I have averaged about 1,000 calories perday and in total burned about 2,300 calories per day...and I seem to be moving slowly. I am trying not to be greedy...hell, I've lost more in the past month than I lost in the past year and a half. But am I doing something wrong? Am I taking in enough calories. Usually I eat or drink between 80-100 grams of protein; about 30 grams in carbs. Any suggestions...I just don't want to revert to my old ways, which is "Oh well, if I am doing everything right and not losing, I should just go ahead and eat the things I know will stall my weight loss. Maybe I have just hit a plateau....ANY thoughts?
