I did the band because I was afraid of a greater death rate with the other surgeries, and the fact that they reroute your God given insides, and also a chance that there could be some type of leakage, etc. I stick to Proteins mostly with some green veggies here and there. On the days I have tested my band with bread, rice, Pasta, & sweets I have had no problem. So I can eat anything:hungry: but I choose to stick with what my Dr. have for me to eat. It would be pointless to go thru all pre-opt issues, the insurance company, all the lab work, psych test, and of course the surgery, and still eat like I used to. I try to go walking at least 5 times a week with lite weight lifting. Walking really helps slim down my wide hips. Best wishes in your decision.

When someone first told me about the soap, they told me to but it under my sheet too, but I know that I'm a bit of a wild sleeper, so I didn't even try that. I just rub the soap on my leg and the pain goes away.
-
for quick relief try using a bar of Ivory soap. When you are in pain, just get the soap and rub it on the cramped area, and the pain is usually gone in 2 minutes or less. It really has helped me. :heh:

I have a friend that says this all the time, she flautents from 180-205 and keep saying how horrible and gross she is, I tell her that 200 is my goal weight:rolleyes: . I tell her to be thankful that she doesn't have a 160 lbs to lose to get to 200.:faint:

I agree that the cry lite slurpess are gross, they are way too sweet and after 2 or 3 sips I can't take anymore. I don't buy they anymore.

I didn't know about the fitness of demand, will have to check that out. But I sure do know about the movies on demand:o
-
Count me in too, right now I'm at 365, when I put my mind to it, I can lose 5-8 lbs in one week. That's with wallking everyday along with the correct water intake and low carbs.

:clap2: :wow2: I totally agree with this statement, Star has said this many times but PEOPLE seems to forget or don't choose to acknowlegde it. Regardles if she is a public figure or not we have the right to NOT disclose our medical history. Even the government passed the H.I.P.P.A. law a few years ago. I had the band done, and only 3 people knows. In time if some of my obese friends want to know how I lost the weight, then I will let them know if they are serious about losing it.

junk food is so addictive, ONE of my down falls is Oreo cookies and a cold glass of milk. I can eat a whole row watching tv. I know I could eat another row, but so far I have refused myself from doing that.:faint:

When I had my first fill I had some restric. not a whole lot, I still could eat a whole plate of food. But since having my 2nd fill, I can only eat 1/3 to 1/4 of a plate of food, which I'm very happy about.:heh:
-
After my first fill I was aware of my band, then 2 weeks later no restriction and I could eat big meals and I started to gain weight. It was like I didn't have the band. But since my 2nd fill I have very good restriction and I get full with only 3-4 bites of Protein. Now it feels like I have had WLS, I was being to wonder if I had done the right thing. But I have read on this board that sometimes it takes 2-4 fills before you feel good restriction. I'm glad it came with my 2nd fill because I can't afford to keep gaining weight. I have 3 sons (all under 10) and they love to hug and roughhouse with me too, so I'm always aware to protect my band.:heh:

my pcp scales only goes up to 375, but I finally am in my 360's so that was a little personal goal to be able to use that scale. My band dr's scale goes up to 600. -
my doc says to eat until you are full, mostly all protein and very little to no carbs, and to drink a gallon of water a day and 30 minutes of walking everyday. It sounds easy enough:faint: , but it's not especially when carbs are thrown at you all the time, at work, home and Church. I just try to stay focused, one day I can have a slice of that, or a serving of this, but not right now.:think

I love the Z too!! Thank you Lord, for creating all these great healthy veggies:hungry:
