    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Wow Denise, I feel the exact same way!! That's scary:nervous I feel like I went thru the insurance, the pre-opt requirements, the seminars, the optifast, the surgery then atleast I can give it my best shot. But sometimes I get too comfortable and forget what all I went thru. And I KNOW without a dought that it is the Lord that is keeping me losing weight because I don't do all I should do and eat right, but the Lord is still having mercy on me. I give all praises to HIM. I went to my first seminar in the middle of Jan.06 and surgery was 3-7-06 you see how QUICK, that was and no hassle from the ins co, the dr.s, nobody...All the Lord's work. I prayed about the GBypass years ago and got a NO answer, so when I heard about the band I prayed again and I asked the Lord if this is for me, to let me see the answer thru the ins co by getting approved, and I was approved in 2-3 days. The LORD IS KING!!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

You're welcome Denise, but You are doing great all by yourself, you have lost a lot in a short period of time. Oh yeah also I have been having a carb day usually once in every 7 days or one in 10 days, it helps me to be faithful on my on program days when I know I have a day where I can eat some of my favorite treats, and when I do this it is usually on Sundays because I'm in Church from 8:30am-2pm so I only eat once that whole day. The rest is water/sf water type drinks. I used to call it my cheat day, but now I call it my feast day. So far I have not gained any weight by doing this. Because really I have a good fill and I can only eat 1/2 to 1 cup of food at a time, so the carbs I eat on Sundays don't show up by the next time I weigh in.

My Dr. have me on a prenatal vitamin, you just reminded me that I need to take it.
  5. We all do that from time to time, you're human. We just can't do it too often or the weight will come back.

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Yes usually it's one meal a day, but I do eat Snacks too, like nuts, cheese, cottage cheese, or some meat. I just started this Water thing about 2-3 weeks ago because when I eat first I usually have to wait about 2 hours before I can drink because I'm still pretty much full. I'm a bandster that gets hungry, that's why I have to snack too, but the water keeps me full until lunch. Most nites I have a protein shake because when I eat protein at nite I'm very uncomfortable and I have too much to do in the evenings to sit around and moan. I make my Protein shakes with milk and its usually about 12-16 oz sometimes I finish it all and sometimes I don't. I hoped that helped you out some. Dang, I forgot my color, oh well:mad:

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Hey Sarg, that's what I do. I do my 64oz of liquards first before I have breakfast, in that way at least I get that in even if I don't drink any more for the rest of the day. It takes me uptil 1pm to drink it tho, and that is not good. By that time it's lunch time, which I try to eat protein and some veggies and protein shake for dinner. Now that is the plan but it is always subject to change. I get tired of making food choices too, so when I'm doing the water thing that helps cut out a half a day that I don't have to think about food. Come on, I'm dragging you with me, we are going to do the dang thang:heh:

Hi Waiting...Dr Grossbard assited my Dr. with my band. I like Dr. G, he's a trip and a half. Very funny dude. He was telling us how much he used to eat, that he has his name on the board at some resturant for eating this big steak:heh:

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Wow thanks Sarg:biggrin1: I checked my calendar and I weighed 288 on 2-10, I'll look back and find my very first post to this thread and check my calendar again, thanks again. Oh I found it, I joined 1-26-07 and my calendar says I weighed 297 on 1-27-07, So that's 297-15=282 so that means I am 1 pound from making my goal. I guess I did needed to up it to 275.

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

I don't think I ever posted a goal weight in the beginning since I had joined in the middle. But I'm shooting for 275.

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Even if I eat too many good carbs I gain weight, i try to keep my carbs at 20 or less a day for atleast 6 days in a row. On the seventh day I eat carbs then get right back on, this seems to help me with my sweet tooth.

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Hey Sarge, it's a daily struggle, I try to make a goal for a day and that really helps me. Like today I will be drinking 64oz of water before eating anything and when I do eat it will be mostly protein and keeping my carbs under 20 grams today. One hour at the gym. I plan on doing this all week, but just focusing on today so I don't mess up. By doing 5-6 days of this in a row I usually lose atleast 3lbs or more. Sunday I plan on eating some carbs we have a big feast at our Church.:hungry: :nervous
  19. Hi Feb '06 bandisters, could I be added to your group:confused: Feb. is my birth month too:heh: My band month is not active. I got banded March 7,2006. My preband weight was 421....402 day of band....and today I'm at 283. I hope to be at 278 by the end of this month.:nervous

I was very happy. Now I'm gonna try and loose 5 more pounds by the end of this month. I'm back to drinking my 64oz of water before breakfast and back to the gym tonite. I'm glad to see Bandida feeling better:clap2:

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Well they celebrated my b-day here at work today...brought my lunch and our great cook made 2 big bowls on banana pudding my favorite, one to take home with me and the other for the office. Needless to say I felled off plan today:cry I'll just get back on tomorrow, I don't expect to make 285 by Sunday now:think
  25. I had once lost 75 on my own, it all came back....I've lost 25 lbs about 5 times, it all came back plus alot more. This time it is staying off and even when I slip up I usually don't gain, of course I do get right back on program, it don't last for months at a time like in the past:heh:
