    Avilla-some months are like that no weightloss, hang in there tho, keep making the right choices, this month you will see a loss, stay on course.:biggrin1: Turner- I have already said a prayer for your DH and I believe the Lord has already taken care of the problem. I said a prayer for you and your family also. The ketone strips I found at Walgreens, they are behind the counter so the cashier have to get them for you. I checked Walmart first they said they stopped ordering them:huytsao Turner, that is a great idea you have of doing the m/e for 5 days and veggies during the weekend as a treat. I'm gonna do that too:biggrin1: So that means I have to stay on the m/e one more day:faint: eight days in a row:cry :nervous Good job in giving away the cookies:clap2: NIECY- How are you doing on the m/e? How did the work luncheon go? SARG T--Thanks, it is all surreal to me too. Sometimes I think this is all a dream, you gonna make me start crying:think . Sometimes I feel like one morning I am gonna wake up and be over 400 lbs again. I was in my 400's for about 6 long years. The rest of the time I was in the 350's and up group. It's a daily struggle making the right decisions but Thank God I must say it is getting alot easier. I am praying for you too, I want you to be out of the 300's this year. I really think the key for you is greatly cutting back on your carbs. I really think you should try the m/e for 3 days and see if it works for you. With me the more I lose the more I don't want to cheat, I'm curious to see how I will look by the end of this year, come on Sarg, meet me there.

    That's ok Turner, start when you're ready. How long are you in for. I'm going to add non starchy veggies on Fri and Sat. Then I will get back on the M/E Sun thru Wed. I'm sooo glad tomorrow is my last day for this week, cuz I'm ready to :hungry: me veggies:heh:

    Janet, I would suggest you keep at it, it takes about 3 days before all the carbs are out of your system and then the stored fat is getting used up. I went out and brought some Ketone Test Strips $10:eek: Anywayz, I did the pee test:heh: I am in deep Ketosis, which means my stored fat is being used up:clap2: This is day 6 for me, tomorrow is my last day. I'm looking forward to Friday which I will be having myself a big ole salad:hungry: I will be eating veggies Fri & Sat, then I'll do the m/e for 3 days then back to veggies, I'm gonna try and keep this up until I reach goal. My doctor's goal is under 180, mine is 200.:heh:

    I'm sooo sorry guys for all the cold weather you guys are having:think Our weather here has been wonderful, but Monday it is suppose to get in the 50's. I know, I know you all would love to have weather in the 50's:heh: Anywayz......... I'm happy to report I weighed in this morning to see if I made my monthly goal of 278, and the scale said 277.4. I am very happy about that. Sunday I weighed 282 and 3 days later 277. The M/E diet is da bomb!! Yall gotta try it. I'm really supposed to be eating like this all the time, My doctor wants us to eat mainly protein with no to little carbs. He's gonna be surprised to see I've lost 20lbs in a month. I'm gonna tell him I followed his diet for a change:heh: I think I'm gonna up my Spring Bootcamp goal again to maybe 265.

    Hi Turner, from what I understand you should keep your carb intake to about 10 g and under a day....so if you have relish, just watch the other condiments you use. I have not had an egg yet, and this is my 5th day. I will have baked chix for lunch with hot sauce :hungry: I'm still drinking my water. Mayo and mustard are fine, just be careful with the ketsup, I leave the ketsup along because I like to drown my meats in the stuff:faint: :hungry:

    Wow Neicy you are brave and tough for trying it for 7 days, the first time I tried it I only lasted 3 days:faint: This is only my 2nd time trying it. I'm surprised that I have lasted this long:scared: I think the bretwurst (is that sausage?) would be better, the pork would be ok too, as long it doesn't have bbq sause on it. That's the hardest thing when you have to eat at functions which you have no control on the foods that they serve. I'll be looking for you over at LCF, what will be your username, the same? That is wonderful news on the Dr.'s report, good for you:clap2:

    No offical challenge yet, I'm just out walking in our park, the trail is 1.4 miles long. Maybe I'll try for twice around. I can only do 30 min on the treadmill too, it's just boring even with music in my ears and watching a big screen tv:huytsao I do like the Big E tho, but I don't want to be stuck in the gym right now with this beautiful weather we are having. I feel bad for you girls in all that snow and ice:cry Hi Niecy, wishing you the best on the first day of your m/e this is day 5 for me. How many days are you doing it? Just take it one day at a time.

    I don't take a fiber supplement, but I did take 2 exlax pills last nite, lets just say the pills are working. I will be eating my fiber on Friday so I should be alright. Come join us on the "Loosing 100lbs in 2007 thread, it weekly so just go to the one for this week...I'm not getting any work done today either:kiss

    Yes Niecy, any type of lean meat is :rockon: I just ate 3/4 a can of tuna with a lil mayo. I still eat my skin that is on the chix and turkey, it's the best part:heh: I'll be doing it thru Thurs. and I'll check my weight on Friday morning to see how I did, of course I'll post the results. Oh, Niecy did you like the site?? It's one of my favorites the people there are sooo nice. I'm in the Century Club, people that have over 100 pounds to lose. My name over there is "tannie" someone was already using "t'ann" so I had to add "ie" to my name:rolleyes:

    Janet, that the diet I'm on right now we call it the Meat and Egg diet we're doing it for 7 days, this is day 4 for me. Sarg, do you think this is something you could try to get you to losing again. I just checked out the digitalhorsewoman and it may be a bit easier for you to try than what I'm doing this week, what'd you think???

    Avilla, oh I forgot....even tho I only told 3 people about my band(DH, my best friend, and my out of state brother) I am beginning to still feel pressure from people, telling me to keep going, keep doing good, what am I eating, etc. And I know they are watching me like a hawk to see "when" I am gonna start regaining the weight. I've got news for those people...It ain't happening:heh:

    You see Avilla, that's another reason why I didn't tell anyone, it's too much pressure, which I can surely do without. I didn't get a chance to do the other part of the workout, was at Church almost all day. I stayed on program at our Church feast, I'm very proud of myself for this, they had ALOT of food. I ate some baked chix and a taste of smoked turkey. I had been drinking greentea last week with caffeine, so I think that is what held up my weightloss. Caffeine does it to me everytime:faint: This is day 4 for me on the M/E fast and I'm feeling good, no cravings, I got thru this weekend which was my true test. Now I can make it thru Thurs I'm really looking forward to eating some non starchy veggies:hungry:

    I did 5 hours of walking around at 2 parks today, and I did not get off program with all the temptation around me today. The BH festival was great, I brought 2 African necklaces instead of food:biggrin1: Tomorrow is my REAL test, we are having an ethnic food feast after Church and all those carby foods will be for the taking, I am PLANNING on staying on my M/E fast, I will succeed, I will be strong, I can do it, I need :help: I weigh in in the morning, I'll let you guys know how I did..I feel a lil scared.....and nervous:nervous

    That's great Avilla about your son's 8lb loss and good job on the spring cleaning. I'm doing a little bit at a time. I weigh in on Sunday morning:nervous I'll post my results:rolleyes My DH works 12 hour shifts so I have to wait until 7:30 tonite to hit the gym with my 45min of cardio. My boys and I will be going to the park today and will be getting in some walking.

    All that floor work sounds like cardio to me. My floors need to be mopped too, but DH supposed to be doing them this weekend. I don't go to the bathroom as much as when I first started, I think I retain water sometimes, but I have not had swollen ankles in a long time. I used to hate looking at my swollen ankles, not no more. My DH was gonna buy me an anklet for V-day but I said no I would rather have a necklace. Check back wit cha later:heh:

    Yes, it's like bacon and eggs, tuna salad, egg salad, chix, turkey, whatever kind of meat prepared just no veggies. You can prepare your meats with butters, oils, and mayo, and seasonings. I'm on the LowCarbFriends.com website and it's one of the diets on the board. Actually that's what my Dr. have me on plus little to no carbs, its just hard to do.

    Sure we can do it, that's easy. I just signed up today on a 7 day Meat and Egg fast, now that is HARD. In the past I have only lasted for 3 days, lost 5 lbs that stayed off. Today is day 1. I had planned on eating at my Church's feast this Sunday, oh well, I'll just have to caught the next one. I can still eat the meats tho.
