Hey everyone!! Im from Bensalem (suburbs of philly) I got banded 9/8 in Langhorne Pa by dr brian boe...how is everyone doing with there band?

clear liquids- chicken, beef, veggie broth, jello, crystal light full liquids- protein shakes(u can add applesauce and peanut butter to shakes not together tho lol), soups (blended and strained) and all of the clear liquids count in this stage 2

I was banded on the 9th and feel fine...whats wrong with your band??

Im almost 4 months smoke free..yes i have cravings but 40 seconds later im ok...smoking with the band can cause ulcers u dont want that!! Just quit i smoke 10 years and quit cold turkey u can do it!! good luck

Ok everyone i need help! I was banded 9/8 and the doctor moved me to soft food which is great..my problem i feel like i can eat more than im supposed 2! I havent been filled yet not until 10/24 which sux so my band is empty....today i was doin so good til lunch time before i knew it i ate a whole can of tuna (light mayo) no bread or cheese or anything else just a whole can of tuna..im guessing that is real bad!! Im wonderin how much am i supposed to eat at every meal id rather ask all of u than call my NUT!! Please help me:mad2:

they gave me one blood thinner shot before surgery and one before i went home...they dont hurt and its normal to get them

10 lbs is awesome...how long would of it have taken u to lose 10 lbs on ur own without the band??

I have hypothyroidism so ur not alone....it will take us longer to lose but it will be worth it..are u on synthroid ?? ive been on it for 4 yrs and take 100mcg a day(high dose) ive been regulated since i had my son...1st pregnancy i had was a miscarriage due to my thyroid thats how they found out i had a problem...but im doin good so far...good luck

Ok so i was banded 9/8 and im goin thro the 3 week full liquid phase and my stomach is constantly growling what do i do??

Ive been having fage(greek) yogurt with strawberry preserves for breakfast with water for a snack sf pudding lunch soup more water (mized with crystal light) snack sf pudding or more yogurt(all mixed with protein whey unflavored) i have a hard time drinkin protein shakes (they gag me) snack sf popsicle dinner more soup and lots of water...one more week and then i can have mushies im looking forworad to making homemade mashed potatoes( i cant believe im excited for that)...good luck to all

I did the same thing u all did on the preop i had my shakes breakfast and lunch but come to dinner i ate..not a lot but i ate salad chicken etc...i got banded 9/8 and i do find myself being hungry every 2hrs since there is no restriction yet im ok for breakfast i have fage yogurt with strawberry preserves blended of course but after that im starvin i try to be good at work the problem i have is when i get home i cheat not a lot but i do...im on a 3 week full liquid diet which ends 9/28 one more week and then to mushies which hoepfully ill do good on...good luck to all of u

well i can tell u this im greek and i luv fage it tastes awesome...shoprite sells mixed with strawberrys or honey and others i luv it u should try it i prefer that over oikos

I had an xray done..i stayed at the hospital over night and the day i left they did an xray to make sure everything was in place

Do u have to pay $140 each time u go in to see him or just for the fills....something isnt right if ur oozin in ur mouth i would call ur doc to be on the safe side..good luck

I was banded on 9/8 and the 1st 4 days were rough...gas, walking, sleeping...they key is 2 walk as much as possible it makes u feel better..get the gas x strips that melt on ur tongue they work great..try to drink all ur liquids and get as much protein to function lol...it took me about a week or so to feel good..sleep with pillows on ur sides for support...today im doin great feels like id idnt even get surgery...besides my tummy growlin a lil bit im doin good...good luck

I went back to after a week from surgery ...def u need a pillow for ur back (lumbar support pillows work great not too bulky) Lots of water and ask ur boss if its ok if every 1 to 2 hrs u walk for 10 minutes i aksed mine and he had no problem...im on 3weeks full liquids whcih ends sept 28th....good luck 2 u

I was Banded 9/8 and today im actually feeling great! No pain (let me not jinx myself) i woke up and could bend over without being in so much pain! Im on a full liquid diet for 2 more weeks ...you guys are lucky (the ones who can eat mushies) i made myself a big pot of soup and blended and strained it tastes good but not at good as chewing lol...the gas pains are subsiding which is good and my bowels are back to normal i couldnt take anymore diarrhea!! Good luck to u all in a couple days or weeks we will all be happy again lol

So i had surgery on 9/8 and im doin ok..i stayed in the hospital one night and came home tuesday morning im doin great with my walking im up to 30 min on the treadmill and also walk outside its great..im ok sleepin my only problem is it is bothersome to bend over i feel like something is on my right side which im assuming is the port..are u supposed to feel it? does that feeling ever go away god i hope so..my right side bothers me the most its kinda annoying..well besides that issue im ok i have to do full liquids for 3 weeks mushies for 2 weeks and 1 week of soft foods and then by oct 20th i can eat regular foods..hopefully someone can tell me its just swelling bother me and this subsides soon.. thanx cindy

I know how u feel because i feel the same way! I had surgery 9/8 and i have pain when i bend and my stomach feels different hopefully in the next couple of weeks it will get better for us
