Ok so i had my 2nd fill on 12/5 i have a total of 3.5cc in my 10cc band....Lately ive been noticing that food gets stuck alot more now than my 1st fill (probably have more restriction) I throw up almost every other day or so i try not to (i need to slow down with eating)...well last night stupid me decided to try some of my sons soft pretzel and it got stuck...i threw up 3 times (of course not real throw up because it didnt make it below the band) well i started noticing later on that night that my throat was killing me (like a sore throat when ur gettin sick)...today it feels a little better (probably because i took tylenol) but im a little worried did i do something bad to my throat? and also i was sitting on the couch and bent over to pick my son up and i kinda felt somethin move in my belly?? im sure it was just a muscle but it was really weird..do u think im 2 tight? water and liquids go down fine and so do certain foods i think i need to avoid breads..i guess this fill is working than? what do u think?

I had a similiar situation they told me my due date was between the end of sept to oct 4th and i had my son sept 14th he was 7lbs 8oz and 19.5 inches..he measured smaller on the ultrasound but had a very big head...i went my by my own judgement not theres i thought they were wrong and im asuming by me having him at 37 weeks (by there calculations) they were off he was a nice size healthy baby...what does ur baby calculator tell u when u put ur LMP in?? im sure ur 16 + weeks not 14 doctors dont know everything..good luck

ckelly37 replied to redmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor says no alcohol or soda for 6 months after that in moderation..so everyones right peoples doctors all have there own rules...do what u feel is best for u...good luck -
I wouldnt worry...get back on the pre op diet and follow it from now til ur surgery ull be fine...also do a fleet enema the day before surgery to clean urself out...i cheated most days 2 but got myself back on point and was banded 9/8/08...good luck

I would Def call ur doctor!! Ur way too tight...I was told if ur losing more than 2lbs a week and throwing up ur too tight...get a slight unfill maybe ull feel better...u need to be able to get water down so u dont dehydrate and also protein for energy....May i ask how much u weighed when u got lapband?? i weighed 271 and have a 10cc band...ive had 2 fills so far i think im at 3 or 4cc..food does get stuck but not all the time and liquids dont hurt at all...the only time i get stuck is when i eat too quick (which im still learning to control)...call ur doctor dont wait...good luck

ckelly37 replied to blueyedprincess's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Help!!!! I don't know what to do
ckelly37 replied to lilacbutterflym's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with Jodi...when i was on the full liquids i was drinking all the time (takin sips) or eating soups, sf jello, sf posicles, etc...liquids go down so quick of course ur gonna be hungry dont forget ur stomach wasnt rerouted like the gastric bypass...ur band probably wasnt prefilled either...the 1st 6 weeks are the healing stage...basically til ur filled whatever weight u lose u did it on ur own..good luck -
Hi Congrats on being banded!! Weight will fluctuate but u have to understand the 1st 6 weeks are the healing process not the losing weight process...u probably will lose being on liquids but once u switch to mushies, soft and then solids ull gain a little dont get upset...the most weight loss will start once u get ur fills...rest up for the next 6 weeks and enjoy the new you...good luck
-
Well u sound like ur doin a good job! 14 lbs in 12 weeks is awesome....i was told by my doc u should be losing 1lb a week so ur doin great...dont forget this isnt a race its a marathon!!! be proud of ur accomplishments and dont ever look back on being heavy...keep up the good work and stay focused (sometimes easier said then done) but u took the 1st step in admitting ur not perfect like most of us...we got the lapband to help us in our weight loss journey so dont beat urself up please! Good luck

problems with food getting thru band
ckelly37 replied to grandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well u defenitly need to contact a doctor...i just had my 2nd fill and i do notice that if i dont take a small amount into my mouth it gets stuck..it takes me 30 to 45 min to finish a 1/2 cup of food (im happy about it but im not used to it)...speak to ur doctor or find one that can help ur situation and to make sure ur band is still ok..also how much weight have u lost? maybe a fill will help things further..good luck -
Surgery Dec 11 & freaking out (smoking issue)
ckelly37 replied to rm10040's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow sorry to hear that...i had to stop 6 weeks before surgery..when did u have to stop by? my hubby is on chantix (he smoked a pack a day) and he is no longer smokin as of november 12th best thing we coulda bought...call and talk to ur doctor some dont require there patients to stop smokin til the night before surgery (those are the lucky ones lol)...the only reason they want u 2 stop is for clear lungs and blood clots smoking stops blood from circulating (atleast that is what i was told)...well good luck keep us posted -
What Habit did you wish you broke pre-banding
ckelly37 replied to xgrl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i wish i could stay away from soda..i did til a couple of weeks ago!! I cant beileve how addicting it is..of course i let it set and get a lil flat but still...my doctor says u can start soda in month 3 and if ur not reasy for it try it in month 6 but i couldnt resist! hopefully i can stop -
First Fill-No Restriction- should I go back??
ckelly37 replied to lipstix64's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well...i didnt feel much restriction after my 1st fill either but my doctor makes u wait 4 to 6 weeks..i waited 6 weeks just to make sure...in the 6 weeks i did lose 6 lbs so he was happy i lost a 1lb a week (which ur supposed to do)...i would wait if i were u give it some time to settle...get used to the fill before u get another this isnt a race its a marathon...good luck -
