Obsessing about Plastic Surgery!!
ChubRub replied to ChubRub's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm scheduled for plastic surgery in January!! Ahhhhh!!! Of course I still need to hit my goal weight, but I'm feeling very confident about that. I can always push back the PS if need be, but I'm using it as motivation to hit goal sooner rather than later!! I'm having circumferential TT (aka LBL) and a BR/BL w/ implant. I'm so excited!!! If all goes well with PS (and Covid19), I'm thinking a trip to the Bahamas in May 2021 would be a nice way to celebrate my new body! -
I'm so sorry! Are you still drinking? Can you find some support for that, AA or some other program? As for the weight loss and plastic surgery, you can still make that happen! You don't need Netflix or some reality show (or whatever it was) to get that for you. You can do it yourself. You've lost the weight before, and you know what to do to lose it again. Then start saving up for plastic surgery after you hit goal. You can do this!! Lots of hugs!!!!

Thanks for the info!! I ordered several a few weeks ago, but they haven't arrived yet. They have at least kept me advised, and send me an email about once a week letting me know that the order is being processed but they are experiencing delays due to COVID19. I'm a huge fan of chaffles, and want to try the different flavors on my chaffles!

to implant or not to implant
ChubRub replied to mousecat88's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Would love to hear what you think after your consult! I was a 34D in my 20s, then went up to a 42H as I piled the weight on, had kids, etc. My boobs have deflated, but are still way too big. I'd really like a breast reduction, but then have an implant put in for some upper area fullness. Would love to be a 34D again if possible after I lose all this weight! -
Obsessing about Plastic Surgery!!

Since I have nothing better to do during COVID19, I scheduled a virtual consult with my favorite surgeon (he's one of 4 that I really like). I told the office that I still have 35lbs to lose, and won't be looking to schedule until 2021, and they said that this is a good time to do the consult as the surgeon is booked through November anyway. So I sent naked pics of myself, and will have a video chat on Friday! Ahhh!!! -

I also have a bunch of lap scars. Fun thing will be that when the skin is pulled down and cut off, a lot of those scars will end up in the surgeon's trash can! LOL!! I just want the flab gone too!! -

How about trying some of the higher calorie Ensure drinks? So you can increase your calories, but still get lots of nutirients? -
Congratulations!!!

Hello and Welcome!!! Congrats on your success so far!!!

My nutritionist told me that if any time, I felt uncomfortable or that food was disagreeing with me, to go back to the previous phase for a week or 2 and then try again later. Sounds like maybe you should stick to thick liquids for another week while your body continues to heal? Best of luck to you!!

I'm sorry that your friends aren't being supportive. Use it as motivation and prove them WRONG by being successful after surgery and hitting all of your personal goals! Best of luck to you!!

@catwoman7 - Funny you mention belly buttons! That is the first thing I look at, b/c there are some funky ones out there!! I'm 47, so I don't want to wait too long for a MMO, b/c I really want to rock a bikini and not look like an old lady! ha ha ha!! Agreed with you ladies on not having to go back for additional surgeries! I want it all done at once!! I kind of even want a chin implant (I hate my small chin), if the surgeon would be willing to do it while I get the MMO! -

Are you thinking about staying local or traveling for PS? I always just assumed I would stay local, but none of the docs here seem to specialize in tummy tucks or MMO. I want an artist!!! -
What to expect at initial consult?
ChubRub replied to theinudemon's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My initial consult was a class, and there were 5 of us in attendance. A nurse led the discussion with a power point presentation, about the various surgical options, what to expect, etc. She also discussed insurance requirements, and gave us a checklist of pre-op testing that needed to be completed to get insurance approval. From there, we were taken back individually to get weighed in, meet with the nutritionist, and then the doctor. After I was done, I was given an appt to see the nutritionist the following month, and was off an running to get everything done on my checklist! -
Congrats and Welcome!! You look amazing, and so happy too!!

Weakness and fatigue are very common. Take lots of naps! When you are awake, that's when it's time to sip, sip, sip!! You can do this!!
