I remember OJ being high in sugar from my pregnancy days. I would drink it before an ultrasound to get the baby hopped up and active! LOL!!

I'm so sorry!!!! If it were me, I think I would have been tempted to just binge on food for a while and feel sorry for myself. So don't be like me!! Stay strong, continue to eat healthy and continue to lose weight, and hope that you surgery will happen in early 2021. Again, I'm sorry!!! I'm actually scheduled for PS next month and am fearing a cancellation due to Covid. I know that it would be less devastating than a cancelled WLS, but will still stink if it happens. How many calories are you eating per day? My suggestion would be to get back to basics. Focus on low calories, high protein. Log every bite! You are so close to your goal! You can do this!!

Sounds like it was a little too much and a little too soon. Obviously see what your surgeon says, but mine always said if someone disagrees with you, then go back 1 stage for a little while and try again later.

The pre-op diet is the hardest part of this whole process, but it's so worth it to get the liver tiny and prepped for surgery. The weight loss you experience during this phase is an added bonus! Good luck!!!!

I brought my phone and laptop to kill time, but ended up sleeping pretty much my entire hospital stay! It was quite heavenly actually! I'd wake up, sip a little something, then fall right back to sleep!

I had my surgery on 12/18 last year. The holidays were a breeze b/c I wasn't hungry at all. I felt full after drinking 2 ounces of water, so there was nothing tempting about holiday food or sweets. I didn't tell anyone about my surgery (other than my husband), so when I was with extended family on Christmas Eve, I just told my mom I had a sinus infection and headache, in case she wondered why I wasn't eating anything. I really feel like having my surgery right before the holidays was perfect timing for me, plus I had the extra time off work to recover.

I feel like Thanksgiving didn't really count. It was just my immediate family, and I had sushi for dinner! LOL!! I think that Christmas will be similar (and last Christmas I was 1 week post op so didn't eat anything), so my true test will be my first big family party with lots of appys and desserts. Especially as my restriction has loosened up recently. Gotta keep it full with protein so the other stuff doesn't stand a chance!!
