It will be pretty quick, even with the holiday. You will be on that surgery schedule in no time!!!! Woot woot!!! -
ChubRub's Plastic Surgery Thread
ChubRub replied to ChubRub's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Yeah, I was so busy hiding from cameras when I was at my biggest that I never realized I'd want some comparison pics!!! I promise to take lots of "before" pics of my saggy/squishy self this time! LOL!! -
TMI bloody stool, is it normal?
ChubRub replied to Katiebal_Lecter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Were you constipated prior to making that BM? It's possible that it tore your rectum on the way out. Even a tiny bit of blood will look like A LOT in the toilet! -
Sleeve Surgery was on 12/17 and Ready For My Two Weeks and Soft Foods!
ChubRub replied to sporters's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think the chicken might not go down very well. Refried beans would work, and you will be surprised at how little you swallow before you feel full! Chew everything really well, eat slowly and STOP the second you feel restriction. It's that "one more bite" that causes pain, nausea, etc, especially in the very beginning. Good luck!!! -
inches instead of pounds?
ChubRub replied to Betty1971's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I had taken pre-op measurements!! Great idea to track progress!! -
I wish I had taken before pics!!! I hid from the camera for years, but now I wish I had more pics for comparison!! You are going to be smoking!!! Best of luck to you!!

Trust me, you don't want to see my tummy peeking out! LOL!!! It's scary!! Ha ha ha!!! It's actually not even worthy of being called a "tummy" which sounds like something really cute. Perhaps after plastic surgery though!

Thank you!! Your post made my cry happy tears!! PS is 3 weeks away!!! I can't wait!!! Regarding thigh gap. I tried to put my phone in between my legs to hold it while I was putting on my coat the other day, and dropped my phone b/c my thighs don't touch each other anymore. LOL! I gotta get used to not having that storage area anymore. ha ha ha!!!

Congrats!!! Welcome to the rest of your life!!!! Woot woot!!!!

Made it to the other side
ChubRub replied to merraculous's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations!!! It's pretty much impossible to meet your protein goals in the beginning, so just focus on keeping yourself hydrated. Sip, sip, sip all day long!!! Best of luck to you!!! -
Bought this shirt for a dollar but didn’t realize it was a crop top til I tried it on at home. I put a black tank top under it. Does it work? Any tips on how to wear it? My jeans are size 4! Omg! So not used to this new body yet!! Lol!!

Woo Hoo!!! Enjoy the new clothes and boots!!

Phone, charger, and chapstick. You will sleep the whole time, so enjoy it!!! I wore comfy clothes there, changed into hospital gown when I got there, and then wore the same clothes home again the next day! Best of luck to you!!

Candid What do I need to Buy for the Kitchen for success
ChubRub replied to Spiderbaby289's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't buy any kitchen tools either. Never really thought that I needed anything. The hospital sent me home with a bunch of disposable 2 ounce plastic shot glasses, but I only used them a few times. Save your $$ for your new wardrobe someday soon!! -
I love my bypass, and you will love yours too! Best of luck to you and I'm glad they discovered the benign tumor before it did any damage!!

Gerd w/ Sleeve VS. Dumping w/ Bypass
ChubRub replied to AJSassyPants's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also chose RNY b/c I had GERD. Happy to say that my GERD has been 100% gone since the day of surgery. I was shocked that it just went away like that! I also haven't had dumping yet. I did get the "foamies" a few times in the first few months after surgery, but that's it. I actually wanted dumping as a deterrent! LOL!! I haven't gone crazy with sweets, but had a few pieces of halloween candy, a cookie here and there, etc, without any problems. -
How long before I can enjoy a meal again?
ChubRub replied to LAJ23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Which surgery did you have? It sounds like you might have GERD. I would talk to your surgeon about it and see if meds can help? -
Woo Hoo!!!! Best of luck to you!!

Requirements complete now what
ChubRub replied to Hopefulin2021's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I had my meeting w/ the surgeon, they gave me my surgery date at that time. Hope the same is true for you. Good luck!! -
I haven't seen many people since my weight loss due to Covid, but my my husband's comments always warm my heart. Sometimes when we hug he'll exclaim "I keep forgetting how tiny your are." One time we were out and he hit the mens room while I waited, and when he came back out to find me he said he didn't see me at first b/c he was looking for the "old" me and forgot to to look for the "tiny" me. I'm actually excited to go back to work someday and see my coworkers who have no idea what I look like! That will be a fun day!

Don't Want to Tell Family with a Twist
ChubRub replied to Elinor1811's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
How long is he staying with you? If a week or so, you could always say you have a sinus infection, or some other non-contagious illness that would be an excuse to feel less than great, and feel less than hungry. I had my surgery last December, and the old "sinus infection" was my excuse, just in case anyone noticed how little I was eating (I was still on liquids at that point). Good luck!!! -
The only person who knows I have saggy skin is my hubby! I look pretty awesome in clothes if I do say so myself! LOL!!! When I was morbidly obese, the whole world knew I was fat. I'd rather be secretly saggy than obviously fat! ha ha! Besides, that's what plastic surgery is for, if you so desire (and I desire!!!!)
