Thanks so much! Yes, it's a new BB! I love it! It looks even better when I'm not swollen. I love my new boobs too!!! My old boobs were a saggy mess. Like 80 year old woman saggy! LOL!!! They were quite uneven too (they've always been, but it wasn't as noticeable when they were full and perky, but as they got so saggy, it was painfully obvious). Husband is obsessed with the new boobs too. Keeps wanting to peek at them, even though he's not allowed to touch yet! Ha ha!! -

4DPO! Still feeling great as far as pain is concerned. Switched from pain meds to Tylenol yesterday. I have a lot of fatigue (similar to how I felt after WLS). Took 2 naps yesterday, and 2 naps today (so far)! Was planning on showering today, but napped instead. I have promised myself that I would find the energy to shower tomorrow! Still in my recliner with my compression booties. Can't wait to be able to sleep on my side someday soon! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! 🙂 -
Woo Hoo to drains coming out on Monday! You will be a whole new person!!

3DPO! Had another post op visit this morning. Dressings were removed, and they put tape on my boobs. My tummy incisions are uncovered, and I've been instructed to put antibiotic cream on the incisions 2x/day. I am to continue use of the compression machine over the weekend, and then I go back to the office again on Monday to check my drains. I still feel great! Only pain now is back pain from being hunched over. It's fine when I'm sitting, but my back starts burning when I'm standing or walking. So I mostly sit!! Hope everyone is having a Happy Friday!! -

Mini Update! I just took a shower and it feels so good to be clean!! I also weighed myself just for fun, and was 118 which is 1lb higher than pre op. I know I'm full of fluids, but also that they removed some skin, so will be fun to see what the final tally is! Still feeling good pain wise too! -
Balancing Weight Loss With Working Out

Muscles retain water after a good workout! It's totally normal for the scale to go up! Just means you did a great job working those muscles! -
Sounds like you are doing great!! I also had an easy recovery. I had a lot of fatigue, but no pain. Enjoy the naps!!! LOL!!! Best of luck to you!!!

2DPO! I slept so great last night! Only up twice for the bathroom, and other than that, slept through the night until 8am (which is late for me)! The pain meds are still doing their thing, and my pain level remains at Zero as long as I'm sitting. Goes up to a 1 or 2 if I need to shift around or am going to the bathroom. I'm still pleasantly surprised at how great I feel! Looking forward to my shower tonight, and while I'm in the shower, hubby will wash my garments. Also looking forward to getting another peek at my new body before I get in the shower!! Hope everyone is having a great day!!! -
Bad Day With Food and Tiredness
ChubRub replied to ANewJourneyAwaits's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Both fatigue and food not sitting right in your pouch are very common in the first couple months after surgery!! I took naps daily until I was about 3 months out! Also got the foamies quite a few times too. Hang in there, and with time, it will all get better and your energy will come back!! Best of luck to you!! -
Florida, unless you have a hook up in Italy??? We need a post Covid BP celebration!!

Thanks so much! No, I didn't get the Exparel shot. My surgeon doesn't offer it, but it seems like I didn't need it anyway. Hoping I'm not jinxing myself, but I seriously feel great!!! Fingers crossed that I continue to feel this way!! -

It's a leg compression machine to prevent blood clots. Like the kind they put on you in the hospital after surgery. My surgeon loans them to her patients to use for the first week after surgery. -

I felt the same way posting my "before" pics, but you will appreciate it when you are able to compare them to your "after" pics!!! You are in great hands with Earle, and I can't wait to see your transformation! You already look awesome, so he has a good foundation to work with!!!! -

Had a great first night. Peed my brains out from all of the IV fluids which got in the way of sleeping (I was in the bathroom every 90 minutes or so). Pain is still well controlled!! When I'm sitting in my recliner it's a Zero, and if I'm moving around, going to the bathroom, etc, it's about a 2. I can tell when I'm due for my pain meds though, as the pain will slightly increase about 30 minutes before my next dose. I had my pre-op visit this morning. Everything is looking great. Some obvious swelling (esp my boobs), but even with the swelling, I'm thrilled with everything!! I go back on Friday to get dressings removed and they will apply the surgical tape at that time. For now, instructions are to stay in my recliner and use my compression machine. Then tomorrow I can start moving around more and take a shower. So far, everything is great!!!
