Sorry you are going through this situation. Have you tried slider foods? I know that is a BIG NO, when speaking on weight loss surgery but you're on the opposite spectrum. -
Pre-Op Diet, Are you hanging in there?
futurefinemama posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My official pre-op diet starts tomorrow, June 2nd, I started on May 31st to work the kinks out. So far so good for me but it's only day 3. Fortunately, I do not have to do a total liquid diet. Mine consists of very small meals and snacks every 2 hours, starting from 7am-9pm. How are you guys doing? -
Pre-Op Diet, Are you hanging in there?

Just received notice my surgery date is rescheduled to June 23rd instead of June 17th. I am going to see if I can do the pre op diet for 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks. Lawd help me! -

Congrats you look great! -
My surgery is scheduled June 17th. I started my pre op surgery diet on the June 3rd. I have lost 40 lbs since my journey started in Aug 2019. I heard about people grieving food and I am starting to feel sad about the some of the food (maybe the amount) I can not have after surgery. What are your thoughts? Did you experience a food funeral?

Any Atlanta surgeries on go post-lockdown?

I am with Atlanta Bariatrics and I was scheduled in May but my surgery is now scheduled June 17th. My date was pushed back about a month. -
Can someone tell me how long it took
futurefinemama replied to DwGirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I started in August 2019, had a health scare in September 2019. I was on blood thinners so I had to wait until Jan 2020 to continue my appointments. My estimate schedule date was May 2020 then COVID hit. And my surgery date was pushed out to June 17th. So my timeline is not as streamlined but a typical person takes about 6 months. -
This has been my struggle. I get the the most negative comments from overweight and obese people. And I am thinking, if the solution was so simple, why are the naysayers still obese? My motto for everything is, to each its own. My decision to have a weight loss surgery has no affect on them, why are they so bothered?

Is it odd that I don't won't people to know I want to get the Lap Band surgery and this includes family. I think I'm embarrassed about the whole notion of not being able to loose the weight on my own. Has anyone felt this way?

Pulling a Star Jones...?
futurefinemama replied to futurefinemama's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Star Jones wasn't banded... I was referring to how she wanted the weight loss surgery to be a big secret... When it was very obvious... And I am surprised how I want to keep it a secret because I usually have a I don't give a @#@% what you think attitude... but with this issue it is a sensitive subject for me. -
Pulling a Star Jones...?

I appreciate the comments and it made me look at my decision in a different perspective. I think I might let my family know once I have completely decided and the LapBand has been approved. But I work for a big corporation and really don't won't my co-workers to know. One co-worker had the gastro surgery and she was the talk of the company for a while. Comments on How she looks, oh she lost too much weight, now she needs a plastic surgeon...
