Don't it irks you when a former big person become a shamer? I have a coworker and she did not have a WLS but she had liposuction and a tummy tuck. And she always makes comments about bigger people (she's still sorta big just more shapely now). I went with her to get something to eat and she made a comment about every big person in line. Things like: "she know she needs a salad, I know that plate gotta weigh a ton" And when I called her out, she stated she was just teasing. I've worked with her for a while and I never heard her talk about people like that until she had her surgery. Now, she hasn't said anything about me to my face because she knows I will cuss her out. It just irks me. I decided not to go to lunch with her anymore because her energy is toxic. She finds joy in stepping on people which is kinda weird to me.

What did you lose -- than just weight?

[emoji19][emoji19][emoji19] I'm so sad...always been a DDD. Well that really means I got to get rid of stomach. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
I get it. Sometimes that petty comes out. Good one! Especially, when it towards someone who makes someone feel bad about themselves. My mom always stated, you never look down on someone because you can always find yourself in their position.

I totally agree. It is sad because she looks great. But she is super insecure if she feels the need to put people down in order to feel better about herself.

No more diabetic (metformin) medicine. Only 6 weeks out. Boobs slowly deflating though. -
gastric sleeve vs. Gastric bypass
futurefinemama replied to new_lease_on_life's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the sleeve. My BMI is pretty high (66 was 73), my surgeon suggested the Sleeve due to my weight and previous medical issues (maybe a little less invasive). He also stated people with the Sleeve and RNY can lose about the same amount, just Sleevers might lose at a slower rate. I am 6 weeks out. I lost 36lbs before preop and 34lbs postop. I had minimum issues so far, I dealt with acid reflux a couple days after surgery and a UTI. But right now, no issues (fingers crossed) and I feel back to normal. Just from my OWN research, as far as weight loss forums, YouTube, FB groups, I think with RNY the heavier you are the more weight you drop, in comparison to the Sleeve. -

LOL. There are no caviar and champagne dreams over here. But it does look caviar. I took a close up picture on my phone but this site seems to enlarge the photo. -

Stuffed Mini Avocados with ground pork. Next time, I will use ground turkey or beef. I haven't had pork in about 3 months, woke up the next day with a headache. -
Is anyone else as disappointed...
futurefinemama replied to Luv2cruz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree with you gator especially on fluctuating the calories. Fluctuating calories broke my stall. Because my body was holding on TIIIGHTLY to my fat. I was stalled for 2 weeks and I am only 6 weeks out. -
You might want to wait until post op. Your taste buds change a bit. I'm over a month out and sweet smells and sweet foods still make me nauseated.

I agree... Get rid of toxicity. -
I have big legs, I am over a month out. (30lbs down from SW) So far, no sagging but I do have an elliptical and I use it about 3 times a week. And good news, I have big feet too, they haven't gone down a size but my feet isn't as wide anymore. Yippee!

Things I won't miss about being fat!
futurefinemama replied to ChubRub's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I wont miss saying I don't like amusement park because I can't fit on most of the rides. I wont's miss people saying, you cute for a big girl... I won't miss my feet swelling. I won't miss not fitting in a booth. I won't miss not wearing all my cute shoes because they hurt my knees to walk in them. I wont miss being out of breath while climbing a flight of stairs. -
I gained about 10lbs around March and April. The surgeon's office told me I was approved and I went into an Oh **** mode, killing myself to lose those extra 10lbs before my surgery date. I am a stress eater and this pandemic did not help. I also work remote with 3 boys screaming, playing and fighting in the back ground. My eating increased, my drinking increased. I had thoughts of what if this pandemic turns into the "The Purge". My kids have chronic asthma, and I also thought, "do I have enough meds to make it through if the pharmacy shuts down?" I had to turn the news off, stay off social media. My anxiety was through the roof. And I never had issues with anxiety. Some nights I might have gotten two hours of sleep because I was concerned with the "what if's?". Meal prepping and working out was not on my mind when everyday seems like a chapter of Revelation.

Thank you! It really did, it has a lot of protein from the chicken, cheese and pepperoni. As I made the pizza, I forgot to keep up with the macros. But I do know the entire pizza has about 9 carbs. 5 from the sauce and 4 from the cheese. -

LOL! Yes I did. I was craving pizza. I should have let the crust bake a little more to have a crispier taste. -

Chicken Crust Pizza. I cut this in about 16 pieces, made little pizza bites. The kids like them, I had two pieces. Crust is made of shredded chicken breast, low fat mozzarella and one egg. (I used egg beater about 1/4 of a cup). -
I was on soft foods on the 8th day, I tolerated tuna/salmon in very small bites. But follow your surgeon's/dietitian's plan.

Omg, she came with Receipts!

Injecting Blood Thinner?
futurefinemama replied to jennyhenny0330's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I took them for a week post op. My doctor recommended them because I had issues with blood clots prior to my surgery. -
This WHOLE ENTIRE POST IRKS ME. Funny how, a person who has been Obese, has the audacity to get on WLS Forum to ridicule people on their journey. You are still in your honeymoon phase of your surgery and Good For You, that you lost your excess weight, and Good For You that you had the "mental stamina" to achieve your goals and Good For You that you are "healthy and skinny". But without your WLS surgery, would you be able to stand on your high horse and scream down to the people who were once in the same boat about their struggles? This Forum, from what I know, is to help people on their journey; good, bad or indifferent. I personally, like the authenticity of posts, where people are brave enough to admit their struggles and downfalls. At least, they are willing to admit their faults and seek help. You never know what post can help somebody with the same issue. Everyone that has gone through a WLS are well aware that this road is NOT easy. This community already receives, judgement, criticisms and ridicule from other people. It's just a hard pill to swallow when its one of our "own".
