I sure hope I won't. I have never had an issue with reflux and I certainly don't want to now.

Man! I'm sure it isn't. Blessings to you.

First available appointment I suppose. At least that's what they said. That was the earliest I could get in. -

No, it's my band. I found that out earlier this year when it landed me in the hospital. It has slipped. You can't get food poisoning if you can't eat or hold down food. It's definitely not a virus. I haven't been anywhere to get one. Thanks though. -
Soooooo, that's why I have been feeling all π€’. I have taken laxatives for the past 3 days and nothing. Finally this morning, a little something happened. OMG!!!! It took a while but finally, I feel sooooooo much better. I actually think I can manage all liquids today. I'm going to try and see. π

That's a good question. I'm guessing yes, since surgery is over a month away. Thank you for that explanation. That does make me feel better. The receptionist did reiterate that 11/25 was his next available opening. Doctor should have checked with her before he gave me a date. As for work is concerned, I'm not working so I don't have that problem to worry about. I'm out on disability due to multiple medical issues. Again, thanks @Machalo π. -
Day 1: If you saw my posts in the revision section, then you know last Monday I started my preop diet in preparation for surgery next week. However, I have been nauseated and throwing up since Wednesday. (more nauseous than vomiting) I called the doc and spoke to the nurse who said she would get back with me and hasn't yet. So I decided today I would do liquids just for breakfast and have a small meal for lunch and supper. Breakfast will be: Coffee, protein shake, & water Just as the doctor ordered. My meals will be a meat protein with lettuce and tomato salad. I'm also taking gas-x strips to help move that gas out that's sitting on my stomach. π€’ Yes, I'm feeling miserable, but I have to shrink this liver before Monday gets here.π

What do you MOST look forward to post WLS?

Not have three sizes in my closet (small, medium, and large). I'm also hoping that this arthritis in my knees will subside just a little bit even though they started to hurt really bad which is why I started gaining weight in the first place because of the medicines I was taking. -
Good luck! I'm feeling a little nervous too. My surgery is on Monday. π€

Trying again/My Story: PreOP Diet #2
LadyVS replied to LadyVS's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, I couldn't eat a second salad, nor could I finish my second protein shake. I'm happy that this time it won't be a problem starting full liquids on tomorrow. My doctor's office never did call me back, but they know me, if it were a major emergency, I would have been bugging the hades out of them. I probably would have even gone there yesterday morning. πππ I know my body so what I'm feeling is gas, no question. After all, up and until now, I had been eating REALLY GOOD FOOD. Yes I know, no carbs and stuff, but ya see, I CAN'T HELP IT!!!! I'm a food addict/junkie. But this time, I have my NUT to keep me in check. She wants to see me after the surgery so she can see how I'm doing and to keep me accountable. (I LOVE HERπ€) I didn't have a NUT the first go round. Anyhoooo...... I tried some pickle juice and just as I suspected, it didn't work for me. I'm still feeling π bluh this morning. No vomiting though so that's a good thing. I will keep to drinking liquids and I'm going to skip out on the salad for lunch. I'm officially on the count down and I'm actually feeling nervous a little, but it's good nerves . -

Pre OP clear liquid diet challenges.
LadyVS replied to EAGML's Gigi's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
No, but I wouldn't eat anything like that again. Please stick to the diet as you're trying to shrink your liver. Good luck. -
Hi Victoria, I know exactly what you're going through. I'm recovering from foot surgery in which I had long pins in my toes for a month. Girl I was so glad when the doctor took those out. Anyway, from what I have been reading, I am seeing a lot of people are converting to RNY from the sleeve. My first appointment was back in June and now I'm having surgery next week. Everybody is different. I had insurance requirements to meet this time around whereas the first time (8yrs ago), I was self pay. You really need to get the ball rolling by seeing a surgeon and go from there. Good luck to you. π

Trying again/My Story: PreOP Diet #2
LadyVS replied to LadyVS's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes we do and that's great you lost weight on your own. I have tried, and tried, and tried again. I don't have a problem losing, my problem is staying motivated enough to keep it off. That's my problem. I do see your point. I guess I would be still hungry too. We will make it. We have done this before. Hopefully, we won't EVER again lol. -

Girl yes this is hard. I'm surprised you're able to eat meat. The majority of us are on full liquids. So in my little carnal mind, I'm trying to understand why you're hungry? I would think just one yogurt, but I can't have that so idk. I would definitely give a call to find out. Best wishes. -
Trying again/My Story: PreOP Diet #2
LadyVS replied to LadyVS's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not recently. I just know that because of what the nurse told me. That's why almost everyone has to do the liquid diet. I know YouTube has some great videos to check out. When I first heard about the sleeve 5 years ago, I looked it up to see what in the world. I'm still not understanding why it's called a sleeve when you're not putting anything on the stomach. You're actually cutting the fat part off and shaping it like a banana. Lol but it's a sleeve, ok πππ as long as it helps me loose this weight and keep it off, I don't care what it's called. -
Where's everyone from :)
LadyVS replied to foodie669's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
No, I'm not nervous at all. I don't start the diet until Thursday. I actually started it on my own last week, and by day 3 I became very nauseous. I will and thank you.
