What does this mean? You revised from a sleeve with another sleeve?
-
Oh wow! Thanks for that further explanation. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this; however, it is a blessing that it was caught early in your healing phase rather than later. I hope it all works out for you. Blessings.

I was wondering. I was like huh????

I don't understand why you aren't able to walk? You do have to use the bathroom right? So that's walking unless you have a catheter connected to you. It is painful to walk, but I hold my stomach and take very slow steps. I know that walking is what helps your body to heal, and the longer you are staying in bed, that's the longer it's going to take for you to get back in the swing of things. I'm 5 days postop and I do not have any GI issues so far and I'm praying that I won't ever. You need to make yourself walk. I hope you feel better.

My journey: The Pain of Starting Over
LadyVS replied to LadyVS's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
So this morning I decided to spruce up my coffee by adding some protein powder to it. I can't believe I love it. Gave it a flavor of it's own. Decaf of course. I'm also eating oatmeal to help with not being so darn hungry and you guessed it, it worked by adding some protein powder in it as well. Yeah, the second time around is a charm. It feels really great to drink and eat and not have anything get stuck, and then you have to go to the bathroom and throw it up because of the discomfort you are experiencing. I do not regret getting the Lapband, because it did what I needed it to do; however, I'm glad I made a decision to receive a tool that I could have reversed if necessary and well after 8 1/2 years, it was necessary to have it removed. So on this 5th day of postop, I'm feeling grateful, thankful, and blessed. -
Get your 64 oz of water in too.

One week post op and very hungry
LadyVS replied to TheNewNay2019's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep, that's it. Make sure you're also adding in your protein shakes and lots of water. I think that's why you're being hungry. Try drinking 64 oz of water all day every day, trust me, you won't have an appetite. Good luck! -
Good morning ladies. Today is Saturday and I'm praying for a speedy recovery. I totally know how you're feeling right now. Let us know how you are doing when you can. Congratulations!!!!!

Interesting! Glad I had a hysterectomy years ago

Slow and steady is great! That's how I was with my Lapband. I lost 99 pounds in two and a half years, and kept it off the following 7 years until the band decided it didn't like my body anymore. smh lol You look great! Impressive work so far and continued success.

Can't lay down and sleep. 3 days post sleeve
LadyVS replied to chim's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Take you some gas-x. Honey, I've been chewing those things since before I was in the hospital Monday, and I'm still taking them. I remembered how bad that pain was so I made sure to bring my chewables with me. I totally understand. It will pass soon, and yes, please do walk. Once the gas passes you will feel a lot better, but then you'll really feel the pain of the surgery so don't walk too fast nor to far. You don't want to over do it. i.e. walk to bathroom then rest, walk to kitchen, rest, etc. -
Wow! Thanks for the explanation. I am assuming you're in the hospital with that? What symptoms did you have before finding out about your leak? And how was the leak found? To answer your original question, no, I have not experienced leakeage.

What's TPN?🤷♀️

I'm 4 days postop. I had a two night hospital stay because of severe nausea and my blood pressure staying high. Once the gas started passing was when I began to feel better. Today my goal is to walk a little more than I have around the house but that's it. Nothing too heavy and strenuous. Continued success everyone.

May I suggest you use almond or coconut milk to make your shakes with?
-
Instead of speaking with the nurse, have you tried seeing your doctor? Maybe he or she can prescribe you something different for your nausea. Hope you get better soon as I know how you feel.

One week after the Sleeve- looking for friends
LadyVS replied to Metamorphosing's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi there I'm 4 days postop and I finally thought about eating some chicken and a small subway sandwich yesterday. As I looked to my left, my delicious protein shake was really all that I needed. I've been in too much pain to focus on anything else. Besides, I don't have an appetite. I have been getting my water in though because that's all I can tolerate and jello. Hang in there, you're doing great. Excellent progress for the first week. Kudos! -
My journey: The Pain of Starting Over

So because of all the coughing, I have awakened to my chest hurting. So I'm lying here with my heating pad across my chest and these wraps on my leg like in the hospital. They keep your blood circulating while you are sitting or sleeping for 2 hours or more. -

My journey: The Pain of Starting Over
LadyVS replied to LadyVS's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
So after surgery, the area where the Lapband was, was the area of most discomfort and pain. Now that the gas has passed from that area, I'm feeling the pain from the others cuts that he made to do the sleeve. I'm still getting over the flu so it hurts really really bad when I cough. I will be so glad when all that mucos finally leaves my body completely. It's almost gone. Hallelujah! -
