I see by your profile you are 16? NEMC will be a great program for you. If you have already seen the surgeon (mine was Tarnoff) then you must be in the program by now. It will take about 2-3 months from your initial appt. till surgery. By then you will be absolutely certain your choice is the right one. Really work your behavior mod group and take complete advantage of Dr. Pino's workout for you. The entire staff is great and you will have lots of support in every way-mentally, physically and emotionally. They'll prepare you for this very life changing event. Believe me your life is about to change. Keep reading here and other sites. You can't be too knowledgable. I was very satisfied with NEMC. The surgeons are world renowned and have a 0% erosion rate (thats in your blue book). I haven't changed my sticker yet but I have lost 28 pounds. The surgery was much better than I had feared. I posted here the exact same day. Good luck!!!

One last suggestion-get yourself some baby wipes non-alcohol. It may not be so bad because you've been on liquids but it is good decision not to do that late shift. Keep us posted and Good Luck!!!

It is very intense. You will not be able to work that second shift. It really is impossible. You will be wedded to the toilet. I have to say that it may very well help you with post op gas. I was on liquids the whole week and then did an enema the night before. I don't know what your pre-op diet is but I would also ease up on solids 2 days before Wednesday to make it easier on you. Good luck with your surgery and cut yourself some slack. Unless you can telecommute by computer while sitting on the john, you can't work past 1:00. That mother kicks in like nobody's business.

Thanks-I missed that part! I am a little frazzled tonight, its easy to confuse me-BTW I love your email name!!!

I guess the heavier food pushed it down??? Who knows. Anyway I have got to ask--why in the name of slim fast would laying on your left side help? You will notice I ask this question after I tried it for the entire night. Desperate! Party of one, your table's ready Diva!

Call me a bisquit and butter my bottom. I am officially unstuck!!!! Yes Ladies and Gentlemen I am free, free at last! How did I do it you ask? I ate dinner! After 2 days of hot tea (green, cinammon, lemon, Earl Grey, etc. etc) and almost an entire bottle of Papaya Enzymes (tastes sorta like Pez & you get at GNC), sleeping on left (which is totally alien to me-I vote left, I don't sleep left), stretching from 5' 2" to professional basketball player size, holding my breath till I almost turned blue-I gave up. I surrendered. I put up a white flag on my golfball. My DH made some stew, I cut up some teeny tiny eensy weensy piece of fatty meat (you heard me fatty-nature's lube) and mushy wushy carrots and squishy squashy potatos and had about a half a cup. And the golfball was gone. Can I hear an AMEN! p.s. Thanks to all

Booger (as I like to call him) is total jerk. If you have the live feeds you know that he got drunk and totally insulted Janelle behind her back. He called her a whore and worse. I can't stand him. He is no spring chicken either (Mr. Geriatric Rap). Erika has no self esteem (and girlfriend needs a cheeseburger ASAP!) but Booger is despicable.

Hi, Day 2 and still (slightly) stuck. I am calling the doc tomorrow if there is no further improvement. Thanks everyone! It has mellowed out a bit, still not in pain but I still feel it. I am on liquids with no problems, tried hot tea and pureed some bean with bacon soup because I am hungry. It went down fine. I am gurgling and occasionally burping but not productively. I have taken the papaya enzyme tablets, walked, stretched, held my breath, slept all night on my left side, did the hokie pokie and I turned myself around. Thats what its all about.

I was truly sad when I read about it this morning. Tired Old Man-your thread title is a little mean spirited. "What a Croc-" (!) I don't agree that he should have been carrying his son while feeding a croc. It was poor judgment to say the least! But all in all he was a very good educator, had wonderful enthusiam and great dedication. The Australian zoo is a success due to him. He was a champion for endangered species and made a difference in the world. He left way too young. The play on words of your title made me cringe. I am simply telling how I percieved it and how I felt about it.

Diva Girl! That is great! I did not do so great. I have moved to solids but really moist solids. Sunday morning I couldn't take it anymore and I had some of my husband's leftover pasta (spaghetti) cut up really small with loads of sauce and some grate cheese. I thought I would orgasm!!! (just kidding-sort of) But I ate too much and didn't listen to my "full" feelings. Long story short-that freaking pasta is still with me. It is stuck. Not going up and not going down. Since 11:00 am yesterday. I posted for advice on the general lapband forum and got some good advice. (I love those guys) I am not in pain. It is uncomfortable and annoying. I can drink no problem so it is not blocking the stoma. I didn't slime nor PB. I kind of wish I had. I am taking papaya enzyme chewables and keeping to liquids. There is a ton of gurgling and few good substantial burps. I can kind of feel it trying to get down. And it is better than yesterday. I even slept on my left side since someone told me to lay on my left side and that would help. But like a ex-boyfriend-it refuses to leave without a fight. I had a piece of chicken (also really really small with a lot of gravy) get stuck in a similiar fashion. Called the doc about the chicken and she said stick it out. Don't try to throw up but if you do it is ok you won't hurt anything. She told me it would eventually go down and it did. So here I am. I've walked, stretched, held my breath and did the hoochie coochine and turned myself around. Thats what its all about.
