One week post-OP with two complaints
Slownstedy replied to Metamorphosing's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I too only sleep 4-5 hours a night . I am 11 days pre op. Doctors will not prescribe anything they due to apnea even though I am on Bi pap . 3 Benydryl ( 75 mg ) 30 mins before bed worked for me for 8 years. Quit about a month ago in prep of surgery . Just sayn..:) Weight loss starts vicerally, from inside out thus you lose the underlying support fat making things appear uneven. Totatly normal. -
He did you a favor. Give it some time, this is not unusual .

Parenteral nutrition (PN) is the feeding of specialist nutritional products to a person intravenously, bypassing the usual process of eating and digestion. The products are made by specialist pharmaceutical compounding companies and are considered to be the highest risk pharmaceutical preparations available as the products cannot undergo any form of terminal sterilization. The person receives highly complex nutritional formulae that contain nutrients such as glucose, salts, amino acids, lipids and added vitamins and dietary minerals. It is called total parenteral nutrition (TPN) or total nutrient admixture (TNA) when no significant nutrition is obtained by other routes, and partial parenteral nutrition (PPN) when nutrition is also partially enteric. It may be called peripheral parenteral nutrition (PPN) when administered through vein access in a limb rather than through a central vein as central venous nutrition (CVN).

Having this surgery leaves you vulnerable to death by alcohol poisoning . Think alcohol enema . Be careful , just sayin.
-
Fantastic .
-
How long have you been doing this ? How much have you lost ?
-
Wouldn't that be a few weeks vs days ? " Our bodies can survive a few days without protein",

Eventually I will feel “normal” and be able to eat normal foods, just less of them, which is what I wanted from this. I wanted to be able to eat normally- binging & having multiple servings like I did was not normal. I said those same words to the psychologist in april and was deferred indefenitly as an eating disorder and said I was not likely to not follow the post op diet on oct 15. learned it pretty closely have been living it for last month or so. down 52 lbs. o well we'll see. love my reaquired physical abilities . :)
