I have recently relocated to Southwest Virginia. I am looking for a fill doctor. There is a US fillcenter but it is 4.5 hour drive one way. Does anyone know a doctor that is closer? Even in NC? Thank you for any help. JoAnne

I had my surgery in Mexico on 3/26/2006 and Dr. Pleatman is my fill doctor. He did not seem to mind that I had the sugery done in Mexico. -
I was banded in Tijuana Mexico. Does anyone know of a doctor that will do fills in Indiana? Any information would be helpful.

Thank you. I live by South Bend, Indiana but if I have to travel somewhere in the state it is still closer than Mexico. I did enjoy Mexico when I was there. I left here and it was snowing but it was very nice weather in Mexico. I appreicate your information and will contact both places. JoAnne :scared:

I was banded on March 24th in at the Bajanor Hospital in Tijuana. I am returning to work later today and feel pretty good. I am still on liquids and sometimes feel like I have no energy. I appreicate this web site and all the post because it helped me in my decision and I am sure will be useful in my recovery. Thank you!! JoAnne

Anyone Know Anything About Banajor?
JoAnneCL1 replied to lightnerbride's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
lightnerbride, In Bajanor they recommend only Clear liquids for 14 days with Protein supplements. After that you can have mushies. Who will be your doctor? There is more than one doctor out of Bajanor. JoAnne -
Lori, I just prepared myself mentally. The whole thing is a life changing process. I am cooking dinner for my husband and son already and it does not bother me. I wish you luck on your surgery and I can tell you that I am glad I got mine.

How long are you suppose to stay off? My doctor did not say one way or the other. My surgery had a delay and I got it around 9:00 PM on Friday. One gentleman that had the surgery done the same time I did was going back to work the day his plane got home. Our doctor was one to say if you feel like it do it if it hurts then don't. Did your doctor give you a time frame?

Anyone Know Anything About Banajor?

Yes, I have a pretty good overall feeling as far as the surgery goes. My doctor did not tell me everything I needed to know such as little facts but I have found this site to be very useful. Another thing to keep in mind is that you are in Mexico. The Bajanor Hospital was not like the hospitals in the states. Your IV pole is just a pole no monitor. No call button for the nurse in your room and things like that. There are five channels on the tv in english. They do care and try to make you comfortable. I live in Northern Indiana and the plane ride back was long since I just had surgery but other than that it was alright. Good luck on Friday. JoAnne -

I went to Bajanor and was banded five days ago. So far I am doing pretty good. I still have some pain and not much energy. If you have any questions let me know and I will tell you anything from my experience if it helps. Good luck with your research and decision. -
