This vitamin thing is a pain in the ass - I consider myself a master of this and what you said above is exactly correct - Key is to get balanced out and for me as you can see it takes me mixing and adding vitamins to the multi vitamin. I use Fusion once daily but supplement the others with GNC 50 plus powder, Plus liquid vitamins. It took me a long time and many blood tests to get my program. I do not take all of these daily Some i only take once a week,

Gastric Sleeve 5days Post OP
AJ Tylo replied to Roslyn Taylor's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
move move move All of us are different but trust me on this move move move and it will get better every hour -
You got this - We all have been where you are! Reach out and ask or just vent! This part of the journey you are on is the hardest and it will get easier. You have thousands of us here that are paying back the help we got. You can search posts i have done and I crashed hard, but i promise you if you stay focused on becoming healthy and happy you will never second guess you decision. I am blunt so how i got thru it is this .......... You have a tool that will help you get healthy and live! If you would have or choose to stay the way you were YOU WOULD BE DEAD EARLY AND FILLED WITH DISEASES AND BE MISERABLE. So stay focused get balanced and stop focusing on the surgery, I got a puppy to distract me but I do not suggest this, Do what you like to do, besides eating, I have seen everything on this site from Movies, pets, sex, netflix, Reading, etc. To distract you from the mind games.

I just read this thread, You need to get on track with the proper foods. Try taking a soup and running it thru the nutrabullet then warm it up. Eggs are heavy However if you can tolerate eggs make Egg drop soup. I lived in that for the longest time. Japanese clear soups are also great. You need more then protein you have to get the other food groups also.

FEEL SO MUCH BETTER NO LONGER DEHYDRATED
AJ Tylo replied to BecomingAnna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have fought this the whole journey - I feel your pain. However you may love these as much as i do, Really helps the battle of dehydration. Best money you can spend https://www.amazon.com/Precision-Hydration-Lite-Electrolyte-Drink/dp/B07L44RMLX/ref=sr_1_10?crid=4XV50HW78JEO&keywords=athlete+electrolyte+tablets&qid=1583844613&sprefix=%2Caps%2C170&sr=8-10 -
Forget the Nutrioshist in the Docs office, I have had one since one week before surgery. Now 8 month out i only see her once a month to review a blood test. That person is the key! However if you are not lazy like me, There are so many good videos and plans around the internet / with a few good Apps you can do it yourself if funds are not there. I also agree with the above posts! I stopped the insane protein and just balanced out a healthy normal food plan at about 7 months. BUT THAT IS JUST ME PEOPLE I AM NOT A DOCTOR OR NUTIONSIONIST. One thing i read here months ago . There is no one thread here that is the bible for all of us, The journey has to be mapped out for the patient, use all the information and put a plan that works for you and is successful

You are given a tool - However you need to set up the workshop! 1. Read this site 2. Get your head ready - Mind games are brutal - Search back for a long post i did how i crashed 3. Become so freakin educated in vitamins and minerals that you think your a nutritionist - Ok you do not have to get as nuts as i am but this was the key to my success! 4. Enjoy the journey. When you mind starts second guessing your decision, Its wrong its the best decision you could make. 5. This is not a weight loss program, This is a journey to get you healthy and happy and in shape. 6. Lastly do not weigh yourself every hour! you will end up in a special room with a jacket that buckles in the back! Welcome to the losers club and all of us are here to pay back the support we got on our journey

When to transition from liquids to soft foods
AJ Tylo replied to Mkak6's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just be careful and take the transisition slowly, Your body knows more then your doctor does when it is ready you will realize it. No two of us are the same so slowly transition thru the phases, You may need a few more days or maybe your ready to go. Slow and Steady wins the race. Trust me go to fast and you will pay for it! Welcome and Congrads -
Peanut Butter almost 2weeks Post OP
AJ Tylo replied to BecomingAnna's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
NO on the peanut butter - You are to early and that is too high in sugar and fat! However the powders are ok I have consumed 55 gallons of the powder in my shakes! One tablespoon one bannana and 2 scoops powder and almond milk! -
Surgeon confirmed stretching of pouch?
AJ Tylo replied to Recidivist's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Dr Bass out of Florida has been doing this for years - I asked him this weeks ago and he said out of the 10000 surgery patients he has never seen a big stretch. However he did say you can open up your stoma and flow calories thru rapidly, However that is also very hard to do. He stated that people who fail go back to unhealhty choices, He gave a example of a guy who would eat 3 family size bags of chips a day, all day would just consume consume consume them. I am with above Urban legend! -
Suggestions for "must have items" in my hospital bag?
AJ Tylo replied to GAjeepGirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get your clothes on before the IV that way you do not have your ass hangin out in the death hospital gowns! They let me get dressed right after i got to my room and before the IV. -
I think you should just set up a weekly vegetarian low carb diet plan, Get away from the gimick diets and plans, You are in this for the long journey - There are great threads on this site for vegetarian meal plans - I personally eat meat so can not help you but look at those threads Good luck

AJ Tylo replied to BigDaddy BGP's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Its a mind game Just recently i can see the difference, Took me 6 months - I can look at a picture of before and after That i clearly see but the mirror? Mind games. Its all a game and common - But one thing i do know, I feel way better so not really concerned with this mind game -

Meal replacement suggestions for breakfast
AJ Tylo replied to Ready2slimdown's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
These two are what i do everyday = Tastes great and loaded up I am not a big fan of breakfast, and usually in a rush - add a core power supplement a few hours later and you are good to go! https://www.amazon.com/Redcon1-MRE-Bar-Replacement-Chocolate/dp/B07JN116VP/ref=sr_1_5?crid=29GDJO1CPNYQC&keywords=mre+meals&qid=1583760737&sprefix=mre%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-5 https://www.amazon.com/Redcon1-Servings-Protein-Friendly-Chocolate/dp/B07VB5SGF8/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=29GDJO1CPNYQC&keywords=mre+meals&qid=1583760802&sprefix=mre%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&smid=AB36QB4W8KF8G&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFIQjM4VURFQUdQS1UmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA0MTUxNDIzMkhXMFZDVlVZRE9MJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA3MjgxODJENU1VQUVBNFVNQjYmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl -
Suggestions for "must have items" in my hospital bag?
AJ Tylo replied to GAjeepGirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Comfy clothes and crocks so you can walk the heck out of the hallway with you headset on and Jammin and farting all the surgery gas out while on morphine! Yes personal care items help but who cares if you smell or look like hell, you did it and wont see them again - JK -
The bone broths are good choices but try and make Protein pudding just add a scope to the pudding mix, My brother gets peanut butter protein with butterscotch pudding and adds 4 scoops per little box.
-
Make yourself a few Broths and sip them thru the day, Jello is good also but the broths are warm and filling! Also i get in trouble all the time for this = VODKA and WINE are liquids - Helped me right before going to bed
-
Dang if feel for you, Never thought about that of course my kids are 16 and 19 so kinda hard to carry. Look at it this way, Mom has made a decision to live a healthy longer life for the little dude and herself, The reward way outways the little set backs you are getting today. Good luck and soon you will be able to lug him around, but do not push it your surgery was recent let the body heal or you could hurt yourself

Medical marijuana card
AJ Tylo replied to Elisa Maria's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh I agree a puff on Friday is ok - Or a glass of wine wont kill any of us - But every single person on this site has a addiction issue - None of us could control our weight and food intake! That is a fact, so my view we have to be even more careful during this journey that we are not transferring out addiction to food to say pot or alcohol. We all did this to get healthy and see no health benefits from Pot or Vodka, One thing i know for sure I will die way younger then i should have due to beating he hell out of myself and playing way to hard with Vodka, lifestyle and smoking! Nobody can dispute that fact, I just hope all the work we all are doing to get healthy can offset the damage we have done already -
Struggling with gas and drinking
AJ Tylo replied to MorganS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone just be patient every single member here has gone thru it, Slowly the gas and air issues will go away Also you have to learn to drink without sucking in air, Try this to get started, Fill you mouth with water and exhaul thru your nose then swallow the water, Sounds weird but taking in less air and learning to eat and drink slowly and without air helps a ton It becomes second nature a few months out, -
