Yes its a b***h - I told no one till recently when they thought i had Cancer or Aids! I still lie my ass off and try to avoid the surgery topic, I have seen once you Hammer the weight down and get close to the weight you want to be at it seems to die off a little, They loose focus and seem to be on to the next topic. As for how much weight you lost texts? No clue working on my health not really my weight - The kids menu and the other snide comments role off eventually, I was getting annoyed but just let it slide by, Not worth getting aggravated over it. My X wife is large and she is the biggest pain in my ass i have, Don;t get me wrong we are good friends but this surgery/lifestyle change has her all wound up. Comments come non stop and i get freakin defensive and mean at times, But now i just role it off with one easy statement "Had to do it, Obviously only one of us is going to live longer to finish raising the kids and see grandkids, Eat out - Be alone, Got your carb fix for the day?" - It gets better people chill out just ride out this wave of aggravation, Plus its Friday and here we go Happy hour and lots of **** food and junk and vodka -

You are crashing but STOP - Read my long post in my history. Unfortunate you were not ready for this. However you can recover easy. I crashed hard also. Get your head fixed and you have to move forward, The fix is there and once you get your head on straight the rest will come. I crashed just has hard or harder feel free to read my post, It is ugly I fully understand. Take a breath get help and get the train on the tracks, Dont worry about the freakin protein and water, Just chill and let Nature take its course, You are wasting to much time obsessed about those silly things, Yes you need them but you need your mental health in line as a priority. Reach out and read my long post a week or so ago. I also Screwed up and was not ready mentally, I fixed it and you will also, Then this will be the best decision of your life -
All good here

Yes the head games will start, Obviously food is a big part of all of our lives, or it was or we would not be in the FATTY forum. Sorry but i don't beat around the bush. I had the same thing from a group of people, I was a big dude and Happy hour was a common occurrence, 14 oz Steaks, Ribs and tons of Vodka got me into this mess. I carried the weight well but was killing myself and I decided to make this decision for myself. I will admit my social life in terms of bars, eating out, and large cookouts has slowed down. One of the girls i see really hit it home with her view of this, People are intrigued by it, It is interesting to them, as you succeed they get jealous, not from the weight lose but you setting a goal and hammering it home, She has played a major role in this journey and works in the mental health industry. Build a shell and be the ice queen, I let most of the comments to just role by, but at times you may have to nicely speak up. My famous line is - There has to be something better to talk about then me getting gutted and 5 months of hell! This usually ends it quickly I have the same friends and people I hang out with it just has changed, You have to take my attitude, F@#Ck food and screw anyone who has a view on your decision to get happy and healthy. You are the one suffering at times, working hard, Cleaning up your life, However be careful, one thing i have found is that the way people eat and drink is disgusting, just keep your views to yourself, I made a comment a few weeks back when 50 chicken wings came to the table that was uncalled for. I quickly made a joke of it but realized I am not totally ready to be in certain situations. As for the holidays - I have chosen to be here for many more holidays healthy, then just a few eating cookies and santa treats.

11 days post op no restriction with liquids at all just tried yoghurt today no issues either??
AJ Tylo replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
7-10 weeks it take your belly to heal, So be careful that is a big cut and will need to be taken care of, Do not push it and just chill and let your body recover, I can say even today i still have issues with some foods, There is a big difference between Yogurt and Cottage Cheese and a 4oz piece of chicken, So i would lay low till atleast week 5 to make sure you are somewhat healed up. F@#ck Food - is my attitude -
I consider them battle wounds and i guess femaies are concerned,

Nov 15 surgery - Scared beyond belief
AJ Tylo replied to newmemommy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not in Broward but right across the alley in Naples, it is normal to feel terrified - But I can tell you from my view i was rattled a little also, But it was the best decision you have made, As I enter the final stage of weight loss this has been a great 6 months - I do my last follow up Tuesday. Look at it this way: Go on living the way we all did and Die quickly and be out of breath - clothes that are hard to find, and spend a ton of money on eating junk and eating out. Or Get you head on straight do the surgery and live longer - Plus you will be healthy, Happy and feeling like a whole new person. However i want to give you advice, It is not easy and the mental games are a b***h, So get your whole package ready for this adventure, I look at it as a journey. Reach out anytime -
I switch mine around but love this one

Post-op weight loss expectations
AJ Tylo replied to lvidacovich's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First thing is stop weighing yourself every day - You will end up in a rubber room with a fancy jacket on that only ties in the back. For me Male - I averaged about 4-6 pounds a week - had a few weeks of 3 pounds then a few weeks of 7 pounds. I would focus on getting healthy and eating right and then track it week by week. Also water plays a big game in this - One day you may be holding a bunch of water next you wont. I weigh in every Sunday morning when i wake up and log it. As for the 4 oz F#$ck Food - Nobody said you have to eat, you just need to make sure you vitamins and Nutrients are correct - I simply do not eat - Eating is uncomfortable for me and more of a hassle - However my blood work ups are perfect - If you see below this is what keeps me balanced -

Mental Health Evaluation
AJ Tylo replied to steph92000's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You still see dead people like me? I found it to be a silly wasted of time, although I paid cash so mine was just a formality. I had to get fully undressed and lay on the couch. Then the hot younger doctor evaluated me. Not sure why she dimmed the lights and played music, but it had a happy ending Ok anyone believe that and you have overdosed on Protein - -
Is drinking juice ok?
AJ Tylo replied to Katanaya77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang tight you all some of us like Juice. I do drink juice and try to get the sugar free or very low sugar versions. I also went from a 8oz glass to just a few oz. Doing your own juicing also helps - Then you know exactly what you are getting - Adding Vodka is also not allowed, but you have to get caught -

I am out more then 3 months but i focused mainly on soft food like shrimp. eggs. ground beef. ground chicken. ground veal - Nice light easy to chew up foods =
-
To early to tell I feel it is the food. try very simple food first - Shrimp is great just boil shrimp NO old bay or oils etc. Or a soft boiled egg - You may be getting used to eating is all I to this day can not handle certain foods - Weird but they just dont go down right

I’m starting to despise my chewable vitamins...
AJ Tylo replied to pssk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is a pill machine made by Hero! It holds ten different vitamins - I have blood work done to see where I am at so i rotate thru all those vitiamins - My biggest is b12 and all the energy increasing vitamins. I can set my levels now so close to perfect its became a game. One thing i found out if you dont get them all in line you feel sluggish and look like death. I don't eat very much less then 500 calories a day at best, Mainly because i hate food. -
That is from the tube they stuck down your throat during surgery, It will heal shortly - Get the good reflux medications and it will fix it -

I’m starting to despise my chewable vitamins...
AJ Tylo replied to pssk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im on your side i hate hard vitamins! however you have to get vitamins - Switch to the powdered Vitamins they work for me much easier and i just mix them in my shakes, See the black tub from GNC it has a female version also, One scoop is way more powerful then your multi vitamin. I truly think you guys need to look at these multi vitamins - You are not getting what you need. Pay attention to the absorption rates, daily needs and what you burn off just living. I don't take all of these every day but that white machine disperses them at set times and days. Trust me I am not a doctor but you get this Vit/Min/Supplements in order you will be loving life -
2 weeks post op and in pain on day 13 and 14 whats going on!!
AJ Tylo replied to Iamdlo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Not that I can relate to the boob thing but these incisions take a while to heal, From the outside they look healed but inside they are not. The left one is where the camera or light was put in so they most likely had to jiggle it around during surgery to light or see. The right one is where they pried up your liver to get to your stomach. I had issues with my right one since they used my rib to lift. Get a CBC cream that seemed to numb my sore spot for awhile. It will pass once they healing is done - took me about 7 weeks till they did not bother me. As for the 20 Month old good luck with that! -

Yes the BP medicine will make you light headed, I also am on it due to a Stint and trip thru a cardiac ward, I found taking half the Heart pills in the morning and half later on made it easier. Nice job on the wieght loss - You have not seen anything yet, It really does get a lot better just ride out the bullshit.
