A dog Named Boo! Newbie Public Service Message
AJ Tylo posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am seeing a trend towards new people asking the same fears that a ton of us had! I am only 8 Months out the exact age of the puppy in the picture! he is getting bigger and i have gotten smaller! Here is my view on the main things i see in here on a daily basis a. Nobody can say if you keep going the way you currently are you will live a happy disease free life! So jump on the journey or enjoy your disease filled short lived life ending up in a coffin early and missing out on grand kids, spouse, etc time b. Mind over matter! The mind is a wicked tool and can be a wicked enemy, Find something to ride this journey out with - Mine was this dog, Yours kid be a spouse friend or a pet. Do not let you mind whip your ass! Get control of it and the surgery is a tool - You have to run the workshop! c. DO not panic and do not fear, So you lost only 2 pounds this week that is 104 pounds a year! Yea like you could do that without WLS. D. IgNore the haters and negative from others, This is your journey and stupid people do stupid things so just become ICE b***h! e. No two of us are the same, So you need to adjust your vitamins and minerals and diets to your body! you also have to move and work out - it really helps the plan I am asking the wizards in here to add on the advice and help - Getting the same posts over and over and I agree i was uneducated and crashed big time, Feel free to read back to my crash post ALSO DO NOT BUY A PUPPY UNLESS YOU REALIZE IT IS LIKING HAVE A BABY AGAIN ON MONSTER DRINKS! A special thanks goes out to WInston for beating me and making me move for the last 8 months - a tool to my success! Given to my by my girlfriend and kids -

Issues with having a Larger body frame
AJ Tylo replied to Isabelmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No way with that lose of pounds you do not see a change - I think we have another case of head game mirror image. I was huge at 377 and just recently i can see the changes in the mirror. Look at old video or photos and then look at yourself now - My feeling is your mind is messing with you! I was large framed also so you may not meet the BMI index but you still are getting healthy and fit -
Less then two weeks wrote a check and got it on!

How much did your insurance pay?
AJ Tylo replied to Gucci2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
They paid nothing i paid it in cash = But 15k later was the best money i have ever spent - If i did not spend it i would most likely be in a URN shortly! -
Sorry but it takes about 4 months - See they propped up your liver to get to you stomach and stretched and moved all kinds of parts and pieces around. I asked the doc about this and your body needs to re adjust and get its parts and pieces back in place. Took me over 3 months for that sharp pain to finally stop. i used to get it while sleeping and wake up in a cold fling - Sucks but it goes away

Congrads and yes the feeling is great - The journey was fun and enjoy the happiness!

Get off the protein in powder form since you are close, I had to also - I switched up my diet and used eggs and veggie protein to stop the growl - I only do shakes every other day now. As for the head games - I say shake it off, you have came so far like many of us there is no way head games are going to ruin my fun - get a before picture and think back at how rough life was! No way Mr Head are you winning! I bought a puppy to reward myself on this journey and me and him have road out the rough time and good times together! I am not into support groups, but that is just me, I spend more time looking for a date at a support group then why i was there. But many here do support groups and if it works definitely do it! No way head games can beat you after the hell and back you have gone thru! -
enjoy the new you - congrads

Assume any negative will be outweighed by the negative - Yes there will be loose skin! alternative is to keep the way your are going and take the fat and skin to the coffin shortly after a long miserable disease Pots I do not have it but I can tell you you will be healthier when less FAT and blood flow should improve No clue but i have seen FIbromyalgia posts here alot search them here - Welcome and enjoy the journey -

Questions for Right After Surgery
AJ Tylo replied to lisafrommassachusetts's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1. I do not think they make sugar free Tylenol the taste would be unbarable 2. Yes as time goes on you will be less Nausea, Try the Core Power brand of PDs The banana is reall good 3. I did not get headaches 4. Dilute the protein water Half and Half with water or a gatoraide 5. Do not get addicted to the scale - I logged and weighed myself twice a month -
1 month post up trouble sleeping
AJ Tylo replied to Crazycatlady48's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have sent your body into a whirlwind between the surgery and the diet changes - Also you may have gone off the alcohol and caffiene - I have always been a light sleeper and post surgery it has even got worse, I added a few new pillows and a Sleep sound machine to my room and it seems to be helping -
Trust me that dog will not wear out before the gas is all out - I was walking the property every hour for the first few weeks = I had inside info my brother went first and he made it clear. It does hurt but walking around the block or property will get it out the fastest!

-
Gotta give the Fluffy chicken the Thumbs up - This was covered perfectly but i will say - Being fat and obese was a lifestyle and you know have to GAME ON your way of living - Eat Right - Exorcise and enjoy being thin healthy and happy ..................
-
You are on the right path i also have a nutritionist and do cross fit - We do a every two week weigh in, But more important to both of them is the exact measurements of my arms, waist and legs. I am going for the tighten up program/ TIp top shape cardio. Some bi weeks i lose 8 pounds some i lose nothing - I was just trying to say you have to goals - Lose the weight and get healthy - The scale is a tool - To me it is the least used tool, I am more into getting tight and fit then what the dang digital scale says. DO not get me wrong i watch my wieght but a few pounds here and there does not matter - I also know it is a f@#ckin Nightmare to get fit and healthy once you get the weight off so i truly understand - I am so pissed at how bad i wrecked this body and how much work it will take to get back - Makes me not sleep at night! We all got this and it is a rough journey but still bets the URN

How do you psychologically deal?
AJ Tylo replied to TheAngryMeow's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All i can add is the Head games are tough!, but you have a choice 1. Stay fat and unhealthy and die early missing out on your kids and the future or Plow thru it deal with the head games and just stay focused - I decided to get healthy and live vs be burnt and put in a Urn Young - so whatever mental issues came at me after my crash i just stayed focused on that goal of getting healthy! -
Yes STOP STEPPING ON THE SCALE - IT IS NOT A SET THING EVERY MONTH~! Everybody except me is driving them self nuts with the scales, if you know you are on course and following the plan just enjoy your life and you are getting healthy and happy! The number does not matter but twice a month - then take those numbers and divide them by 52 weeks a year! This is a journey not a sprint i had weeks i lost 15 pounds then weeks i lost 3 - but after six months the average was great and i was happy and done!
