I just let google pick mine. I took a approach i will stay on this journey to i feel healthy, I was not concerned about the number i was more concerned about getting healthy. I hit the goal Mr Google gave me and dropped below it. Trust me when you get healthy and feel good the actual number does not matter anymore, It sure did as we were getting bigger and bigger.

Vitamin issues after DS
AJ Tylo replied to SAMMY1970's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same age as you but Would it not be easier since you have done it to just go back and lose the weight again? The surgery is a tool and it looks like you lost control of the workshop - Just my view seems easier to just go back on plan and lose it back off! FYI this scares the hell out of me also - putting the weight back on -
I made it but i am male so we have it easier as usual but Bummed does a date really matter? Look at how healthy and happy you are! So you get there in a few months does the date really matter! Be proud of what you have accomplished and will accomplish - Do not get down

F@#ck FOOD! You are crashing in your head, Yes you need to focus on something other then food, We have all been there and we have all experienced the Head games! For me it was getting a puppy Find something else to do besides worrying about food. Do not break the rules you are to new out of surgery - Try the protein waters and Tea's - Are you buying broth or making it? You can do some of liquid veggie drinks also. NOT V8 but similar healthy ones

CREAMY CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM SOUP yield: 6 SERVINGS prep time: 15 MINUTES cook time: 15 MINUTES total time: 30 MINUTES So cozy, so comforting and just so creamy. Best of all, this is made in 30 min from start to finish – so quick and easy! INGREDIENTS: 1 tablespoon olive oil 8 ounces boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch chunks Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 3 cloves garlic, minced 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced 1 onion, diced 3 carrots, peeled and diced 2 stalks celery, diced 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 4 cups chicken stock 1 bay leaf 1/2 cup half and half, or more, as needed* 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves 1 sprig rosemary DIRECTIONS: Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, to taste. Add chicken to the stockpot and cook until golden, about 2-3 minutes; set aside. Melt butter in the stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add garlic, mushrooms, onion, carrots and celery. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in thyme until fragrant, about 1 minute. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Whisk in chicken stock, bay leaf and chicken thighs, and cook, whisking constantly, until slightly thickened, about 4-5 minutes. Stir in half and half until heated through, about 1-2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste. If the soup is too thick, add more half and half as needed until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and rosemary, if desired. NOTES: *Half and half is equal parts of whole milk and cream. For 1 cup half and half, you can substitute 3/4 cup whole milk + 1/4 cup heavy cream or 2/3 cup skim or low-fat milk + 1/3 cup heavy cream.

Confused about calories in Stage 4
AJ Tylo replied to lisafrommassachusetts's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You are exactly correct Stay hydrated and Stay Protein. I ran about a average of 800 calories a day but everyone is a little different. The key above is the statement LEARN to control your eating in terms of quality and quantity! It gets alot easier as you plow thru the journey -
You beat me = Right behind you. I see why you did it! Same here except about 14 years ahead of you. Congradulations

So you are worried about getting below your goal weight vs being overweight and unhealthy? I would worry about the zombie apacalyse seems more relavant. You can always do what i do - Snake on high calorie things like M and Ms or Get MRE powder to stop or slow down the weight loss. Nothing to worry about BETTER FOR SURE - being healthy makes you happy ...... being slim makes you feel good about your appearance ..... being fat and unhealthy makes you feel miserable WHO GIVES A f#$CK WHAT OTHERS THINK! This is your decision to get healthy! NO you do not care what anyone thinks .

Noobie with questions!
AJ Tylo replied to MimiMarigold's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
First of all use a bigger font us blind old guys can not see it 1. No it is a tool to help you control volume, You have to get your head and mental eating disorder in line, The surgeon gives you the tool and you run the workshop 2. 100 health based, It is only part of the journey and it works look to the bottom left 5m plus lost pounds 3. STOP GOOGLING - i can say this site is 99 percent actual facts - if you follow the guidlines and the journey it works just look at my stats and others 4. This is your decision and screw family and friends - search that topic here - You decide if you want live longer, see your grandkids, be on this earth longer OR die a short life due to obese diseases, be miserable and end up in a URN. If you chose choice two here is a link. You most likely will need to order two https://www.amazon.com/Cremation-Adults-200lbs-Funeral-Burial/dp/B079121D45/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2K3RR7PZZWTE5&keywords=urns+for+human+ashes&qid=1582548598&sprefix=urn%2Caps%2C173&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFLRkkzUDhOTUhEN1YmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA0MTc3ODQyVlBUUjBNSlFRM05EJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1ODAzNDIzVzJDRFVSNkQ1R1YxJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== Now you do not know me but i am a straight on tell it like it is! Do not take offense to anything above i am trying to make a point. Only you know if you are on the wrong path and only you can do this journey, we all have been in your shoes and we all have hit many speed bumps, But the success rate of WLS is clearly on this site and take advantage of all the experience and information here. Have a great day -
