It's not mirrored no, but they are left on the left and right on the right... the keyboard is as normal and the hands are on it in the normal positions...not right on the left and left on the right as marked hehehehe when you look at the hands with the palms down the left hand has the thumb on the right of the hand and the right has the thumb on the left of the hand, they face each other inwards... -

I absolutely love that dress! gorgeous pointsettia print, very much my style... although a size 8 wouldn't fit me hahahaha - yet (still not had surgery) but I might have to do a @GreenTealael and raid your closet when I'm at goal!! hee hee Teneriffe is a great place to live, I adore those old warehouse convertion apartments, so much to do in the inner riverside suburbs of Bris, I miss it heaps and the river.. and jumping on a CityCat going to GOMA or Riverside but hubster is happier out here *sigh* Thanks for the recommendation, I will try to make an appointment and see how we go, but as I am starting a new job in Jan I can't take the needed time off till mid year next year unfort.

Congratulations, good idea to be practicing and making changes where you can to give yourself the best opportunity to suceed and I am sure those 3+ months will fly by -
So I had my first consultation this week, the system is very different in Australia to what I have read about the surgery elsewhere. Things went very well, loved the team I spoke to, the Dr I saw was not the surgeon, but a very good bariatric physician, and after our consultation it would appear that I have the choice of; Signing up for top Health insurance, paying premiums for a year and then getting the surgery. Approx $5-7k AUD out of pocket and $5-8k in premiums for the 12 months Going through a semi subsidised model which would be in about 6 months Approx $10k AUD Paying for the surgery myself which would be in a matter of weeks. Appox $22k AUD Good news is I can do any of the above, am healthy and a good candidate, there is little requirements to do a lot of the pre-surgery requirements that other country/systems have, so I guess I now just have to decide.

First consultation this week
DaisyChainOz replied to DaisyChainOz's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Soooo... I have moved states quite unexpectedly 4 weeks ago, I was headhunted for a job in my home city - so after much tooing and froing decided to take the job near home. Which means I either need to find a new surgeon in my home city, or go with the team I saw (who I really liked) but have to stay interstate for a week or two post surgery and then do follow ups etc flying into that city. The surgeons here charge about $5k more than I have been quoted (guess there is more competition in the other city) and I don't know any or have any recommendations here. It's a bit of a dilemma. Anyone have a surgeon in Brisbane, Australia that they would recommend? -
Hey, I don't think you did say before, that is cool that you lived in Brisbane for a while, those are great areas, we lived in West End and then Bulimba which was great fun, but we bought a place a bit further out in the Bayside area, nice and peaceful here, with lovely bay breezes to cool the place off, but I still miss being that close to the city and commuting to work via the CityCat ferries was Ah-maz-ing, compared to Sydney where I lived most of my life, Brisbane is a great city, very much under rated imho, we have several friends who have moved here in the last few years. I hope you do get to come back one day, if so let us know we can have a BP meet up haha... I have always wanted to go to Canada, maybe one day! @Arabesque which surgeon did you use? would you recommend them? I had my prelim stuff done in Sydney as I was living and working in NSW up until 3 weeks ago, and was planning on staying there, but stuff happens LOL and I have a new job starting Jan here in Bris so need to find a new surgeon to get things happening, or decide to stay with my Sydney guy.. hmmm. Sorry probably should have PM'd you, don't want to hijack the best thread on the board!!! Keep posting the wonderful inspiration peeps!!!

Hey fellow QLD resident (Brizzy here) Arabesque, you look amazing!!! Congratulations girl

The biggest emotional rollercoaster with this surgery
DaisyChainOz replied to Soon2bSleeved12/2019's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gosh, what a total rollercoaster, you poor thing! The Dr I saw who referred me couldn't be more supportive, she is quite young and totally across all the latest knowledge of metabolic syndrome and various other things making "natural" weight loss very hard, she told me that a number of her patients had WLS with very good results. I would be gutted if she suddenly did a 180 and said now I don't support it, don't do it etc. In your case it sounds like her "boss" has been the one to influence her against it, possibly for her own reasons unknown to you. -
Looking very good @Dtrain84 I love your sense of style and how confidently you own it!
