That Is Going To Be My Hardest Thing, I Drink With Every Meal ( June 11) Will Be Banded. I Also Thought If You Drink You Will Eat Less Cause Your Will Fill Up On Water. Thanks For The Info, I Am A Big Drinker, So I Will Get That In For 2 Wks. Of Liquids Only...then Not 30 Min. Before Or After.

Great List. I Went To Walmart Today, Got The Gas-x Strips. Cherry Sleep Melts, Looked For The Toilet Tongs, Didn't Find It But They Did Have Some Personal Beauty Thing. It Was Curved And Long With A Kind Of Spongey Thing On The End, But It Was $2o, So I Thought I Would Wait And See If I Need It.. Called The Ins. This Morn. And Was Told My Papers Weren't Complete. Holy Heck... Went To Walmart, The Surgeon Had Again Faxed Paper Work, By The Time I Got Back, I Had A Message, Approved.... Thank Goodness. So I Am Ready. They Said You Can Pack Now... June 11 Is My Date. Will Let You All Know How It Turns Out.. Thanks Judy

Hi Kristi,, I Don't Know About The 5%, It Wasn't Required From My Surgeon. Just An Effort To Lose... Or Showing With Exercise And Diet, You Can't..i Am Allowed To Have One Meal And 2 Of Protein Shakes, I Am Hungry, But I Can Do It...my Date Is The 11th, And Was Told My Approval Would Go Thru Today Or Tomorrow. I Am Keeping My Fingers Crossed. Been Reading From This Site For Hrs. A Day. Everyone Is Different And Hopefully We Will Be The Lucky Ones. Take Care. And Good Luck. Judy

I Was Told Today, At The Diet. That Carbonation Will Actually Stretch The Band, And Will Also Cause Acid Reflux. I Gave Up Soda Back In Oct. I Was A Diet Pepsi Drinker, And I Think It Is Worth It To Just Give It Up. Judy

My Husband Is Exactly Like All Of Yours. He Says He Loves Me And Just Doesn't Want Anything To Happen To Me. But I Said If I Don't Do This, I Could Die From Complications From Being To Overweight. He Brings Home All The Horror Stories Guys At Work Tell Him. Never Something Positive. I Want My Back And Knees Not To Hurt Everytime I Go Up Steps.. To Feel Better About Myself.. He Says He Doesn't Like Skinny Girls He Likes Me Like I Am..he Has Seen Me Lose And Gain Over And Over Again. He Loves To Go Out To Eat, And We Do That Alot. EVANKAVICH-EDWARDS IS THE SURGEON. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING ON MY LIST, AND AFTER MY NEXT VISIT, THEY WILL SEND IN FOR APPROVAL. I AM TOLD IT ONLY TAKES 48 HRS? KEEP YOU INFORMED. PRAY FOR APPROVAL.

I WAS TOLD 2 WKS OF INSTANT Breakfast, BUT JUST FOR 2 MEALS, AND A REGULAR MEAL FOR ONE??? THAT WOULD BE TERRIBLE TO BE CLOSED BACK UP AND NOT BANDED...

I am also scheduled for June 11. I have been reading from this site all day. I am worried after 6 months of jumping thru hoops, i may not be approved, after reading today. I do have sleep apnea, high BP. fatty liver, high colestrol. BMI is 39. Others have been approved from my husbands company?? love the site, and needed someone to answer some questions.. thanks...
