  1. I mean thats pretty awesome! lol But maybe just double check tomorrow morning. The body can do some weird things. Its certainly strange but see how tomorrow looks and then go from there maybe. Or try another scale and see if it comes back the same.
  2. If it makes you feel any better, i am 7 months out and i am in a stall as well. ITs real but we just need to stick to our program. im right around goal and i cant get there. But i know i will. This seems to happen at all my milestones. itll break. we got this.

    What kind of protein shakes have you tried? i struggled to eat at first as well, and i would have never hit protein goals without my shakes. i drink the fairlife power core shakes, i highly recommend them and they taste amazing to me. I have one for breakfast and lunch till this day. Good luck!
  5. This happened yesterday. Been getting in 1200-1300 calories and i feel the difference in energy already! also i lost weight. Im sore as hell today tho!
  6. Right now i am coming up on 7 months out and im attempting to incorporate more calories into my diet. i can do 1000 but im pushing for 1200 and eventually 1500 and eventually 2000+. Yesterday this is what i was able to do protein shake orange almonds protein shake orange almonds flounder filet serving of broccoli two sugar free fudge pops. this had me at 1190 cals for the day. ive dropped weight like crazy and ive never been the 600-700 cal type. and im learning that for what im looking for in my experience that i dont want to be that low. Im trying to build muscle or more importantly not lose any muscle. But i need to continue to focus on eating good things and ill be fine.

  9. Haha well this gives me some hope! i know i can slowly work my way there. I just want to make sure i do it the right way! Thank you for the advice.... and i would have never guessed you were 47. Looking awesome!
  10. @BigViffer Oh i know for sure i am not at maintenance yet. I should have mentioned her end game for me is 2500+ cals. What she wants me to do is start slowly building towards it as i approach it, and introducing more foods into my diet, because right not i still do a shake for breakfast and lunch. Her first goal for me is 1500. Ill still be in a big deficit and losing weight. I still think ill probably reach close to 200 if not lower. But i also have been struggling with my energy and sure my eating only 800-1000 cals a day has something to do with that. Its just scary how fast it showed up and i really hadnt really thought about where i was weight was and how fast this whole journey is going. But yeah im loving the gym right now and today is 5x1 dead lift of 85% max so ill be pulling 345. I dont want to lose that strength. Im definitely nervous about the rebound gain and all that, but hopefully with preparation and getting down to about 200-205 i can settle in at 215 when its all said and done, Id be real happy there. Just more toned. We will see what happens! Thanks for the advice man!
  11. yeah, im nervous but at the same time i finally feel in control of my eating and my actions. So i feel like ill be cautious and safe. Going to really do my research on good foods and luckily my NUT knows the things i enjoy and is going to give me a few example days of what to eat. I also like having goals to look forward to as far as fitness goes. that way im always working for something.
  12. wow thank you!! I will definitely look into all of this. She is writing up a new plan on what foods she wants me to eat but she did give me the amount of protein, carbs, and fats. starting off at 1500 cals shes looking for 125g protein 200g carbs 40g fat for 2000 cal 150g protein 250g carbs 44g fat. And yes that exactly what she said. She told me im starting to get counter productive and its because i told her i was feeling weaker and more fatigued. Its the mental games for me. Eating MORE feels so wrong now.
  13. im so scared to go down the road of slider foods. Closest i get is almonds. but ill only eat 15-20 because i know i can keep going on them. Any healthier slider foods you suggest?
  14. thats awesome to hear. I guess i just need to trust her. Plus she knows i wont be able to get up there right away. Its a goal to get to i guess. And i have to remember ill probably still lose weight until i can get there. We will see what happens.
  15. Thanks for the response Aj. I kinda figured this is how it would be. Im the same way. If i want i can load up on junk, but obviously want the good proteins. And theyre much more filling. Thank you about the weight lose. its been a ride for sure. As far as skin, well here is a picture. im good in my arms and everywhere but im lower stomach. its bad there. But hopefully i can save for surgery.
  16. i started crossfit 10 days post op......once my doc cleared me i knew its what i wanted to do. My results speak for themselves and not only have i lost the weight but ive toned up big time. which is what i wanted. I love it and highly recommend it.

    yeah i would try to lower that a little and make sure youre hitting your protein goal. Personally till this day almost 7 months out i still have a protein shake for breakfast and lunch. Its been working this far.
  19. This was cool for me. This surgery for me, wasnt just about losing the weight, but also about getting the body i always wanted. Im far from being there but im really starting to see results. I finally have shoulders and arms! I started crossfit 10 days after surgery. Mixed with running this is what ive stuck to and the results are really starting to show. Im 222 now but im also building muscle and still cutting the weight. I always do monthly progress pics and i decided to flex a little. I was shocked myself. I even had the two top abs. I couldnt believe it. I always wanted definition and its really starting to show, Im glad i could do this, while still cutting the weight. Cant wait to see what i look like at 199.

    there is a notorious 4-6 week stall that most wls patients go through. You can search it will pop up everywhere. I personally think 1100 is too many calories this early but im not your surgeon and every doc is different. Even at 1100 calories you will be at a deficit tho. Focus on your proteins and drink your water and stay the course. You will continue to lose. Dont get frustrated. I am in a stall right now. It happens. embrace it.
