I have been overweight all my life, and nothing I have tried has ever worked long term. In the spring of 2019, I "coincidentally" spoke with 2 women who had VSG surgery.  One lost 120 lbs and the other lost 170 lbs, each of them in about a year.  I was so impressed that I decided to look into this for myself. I watched lots of YouTube videos about it and read lots about it.  After a few months, I knew that this was the right option for me.  I had my first appointment with the Bariatric program on 12/17/19, at Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago and am super excited to get this ball rolling.  Over the next 5-6 months, I will be going through all the pre-surgery stuff that I have to do.  I am hoping to have the surgery in the summer of 2020.  I am really excited, but nervous as well.
I totally see the hand of God in all this, leading me to a life of better health.  Thank you Jesus!
