One night, thank God!

I was happy it was only one day- two days isnt bad either!! The medication is standard for him

So I had my pre-op appointment earlier todat. My surgeon said the week before to eat low carb and the day before surgery i'll be doing liquids. Not bad at all in my opinion! He also prescribed a drug for nerve pain that I have to take the day before to minimize pain post-op.

I ened up asking: -How long the procedure takes -How long my stay will be at the hospital -What the likelihood of developing GERD is -Questions about the drug he prescribed for me to take the day before (i.e. what it does)

Ugh I cannot wait to feel freee while tying my shoes!!! This body feels so foreign to me because I was in shape for so long. Good to hear that you’ll be able to get foot surgery and I hear you loud and clear on that breast reduction. I thought I had back problems when I was a C cup. Lord have mercy... little did I know. that makes a lot of sense. I hope that I’ll be able to learn to love my appearance for what it is while going through the recovery process. I think most of my life I’ve based my confidence on the opinion of others instead of my own. Although I’m sure it’ll take my mind a while to catch up with my body. Thank you for sharing!!!

@niffer I don't believe my surgeon requires a pre-op diet. Buy my pre-op appointment is on 2/4 so I'll let you know what happens

Looking forward to: - being able to see past my boobs and belly -tying my shoes and breathing at the same time -having my arms out in the summer (I always hiding them in a tshirt or kimono) -being able to look at myself in the mirror without avoiding it -taking back my agility (played a sport year round in highschool and basketball in college) This was my first go at this.. cant wait to see what else I think of,

Nope I definitely totally agree, everything happens for a reason. I was more bothered that I had to reschedule with my primary doc only hours before my appointment than anything else. Weird right? But I guess that serves as confirmation that it was meant to be this way.

I kind of settled into the idea of it pretty quickly surprisingly, mostly because I haven’t over planned just yet.. so I guess we can say they caught me at a good time 😂

New surgery date for me 2/21. I got a call today saying there was a conflict in scheduling at the facility I'm having surgery done 🤷‍♂️ Kind of annoyed because I have an appointment with my primary doctor later today for clearance that I guess i'll have to reschedule..

SAMEEE! I'm such an over-preparer lol and I always feel like im missing something...

I have been wondering if it would feel worse than a c-section!!!! This puts me at ease because my c-section left me totally traumatized concerning surgery in general. I absolutely hated it and WAS NOT prepared cause it was an emergency c-section.

I cant believe how quickly time is passing. I hope eveyrone has a happy and safe New Year 🙂

Welp, I got my surgery date today.. February 17th!!! I thought it would be sometime in January for sure *shrugs* but I'm still happy 🙂

I'm expecting to be scheduled sometime in January. I have my last appointment with my NUT next week and my endoscopy appointment 12/12. After that I'm done and can submit everything for approval 🙂. I'd love to be supported and support others as well!

I have my 3rd and final weigh in on 10/29, unfortunately this isn't the last thing i have to do before surgery. BUT I'm super excited for it and actually can't believe how quick it went by- even with some stalling from lapse in coverage with medicaid. All I have left to do after this is the endoscopy and a second visit with my nutritionist. My endoscopy can't be scheduled until after my insurance approves it on or after 11/1- which is when my lapse in coverage is officially over! My second visit with the nutritionist should have been done back in september but because of that lapse in medicaid coverage I mentioned, here I am. Still very excited to be where I am and just wanted to share.
