Stop Hard Core Workouts after Surgery
Goldn02Grl replied to HipHopDiva's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I LOVE it! Thank you for sharing! -
I think I will remember what food tastes like because it is already happening now that I am in the pureed phase. I thnk it's about healthier versions of certain food. Now, I know certain foods are just absolutely NOT good for you no matter how you make it. I wasn't a sweet eater, so I LOVED food, food!

Pain and burning in 1 of lower incisions
Goldn02Grl replied to KarenLR75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I don't think they are supposed to burn and my nurse yesterday said to watch it even though I am on day 16 and most of them are healed. -

In case anyone needs a suggestion for using to purée food in phase 2! Got it yesterday and it’s wonderful..have to travel for work and looking forward to using it. -
I read on here to walk a little (during commercials, if you watch tv) in your living room. Something I kept drinking was my energy supplement (Spark by Advocare). Check with your doctor. It definitely helps me with my energy along with my multivitamin. I also held my stomach where my largest incision is when I walk and it helped! I agree with everyone else! Be kind to yourself and let your body rest, but move so you don't develop blood clots and only push yourself to the point where your body can handle it!! This is a life-long journey/marathon, not a sprint :).

July 2019 Surgery Siblings Post-Op
Goldn02Grl replied to Mom_of_Chaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep in spirits! I had to hold my side where the incision was to walk...I didn't try regular Gatorade, but Propel (room-temp) worked well for me. I have the protein powder from Unjury and it also worked well for me. -

Goldn02Grl replied to Mom_of_Chaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was able to in about 30-40 minutes! I just took small spoonfuls, while looking on here online. That was my first time eating anything solid! I haven't tried eggs yet! -

I have a Blendtec blender (was not the best choice, but all I had). I actually put more chicken and tomato sauce than I could actually eat and then spooned out the 4 oz. I cooked my sauce with seasonings, but didn't warm up the canned chicken. -

Weirdest things you are looking forward to after surgery
Goldn02Grl replied to Krestel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel most of you on alllll these things! Man, the life we used to have! Mine: Seeing my belly button (my daughter mentioned this to me the other day) and my neck (best friend lol).. Not spending $10k on food and alcohol! Looking forward to hiking in Hawaii! Not asking for a dang belt extender in the airplane and not worrying about being in the middle seat (although I still don’t want that seat) Just a few.. -
Thank you! I am following my program (sometimes hard, but doing it!)

Update: 238.8 lbs (weigh-n at PCP) Most exciting part of the visit: My doctor smiled at me (usually there was like a frown and a wrinkle about my labs/BP readings) and said: Oh my! Your face looks sooooo different! Yayyyyyy! I said I would update - don't have my BMI. Might go by the gym later and do the little handheld thing they have... Day 3 goal: Go out in an environment where there is eating and drinking and have total fun....It's what the people I know do! Walk in the morning (b/c I live in Florida and it's hot!) Day 4 goal: Go walk! As you can tell, Day 11 after surgery and I can't seem to walk as I should!
